Disappointing.

The bed was comfortable.

Room had a weird odour, was dirty, ridden with cockraoches and spiderwebs.Communal bathroom was not cleaned once in the entirety of the two weeks we stayed there, neither was the toilet paper filled frequently. Had no access to the kitchen, had to clean our dishes in the bathroom. House overall was incredibly dirty and dusty.

A very horrible place with a very rude owner.

The place is not in a state to host guests, when I got there, the place was in total darkness and looked like an abandoned home. There was total silence and no one responded to the gate when we arrived and later the owner showed up and started a fight that why am I late and why was I not responding to messages which I told him my phone went off. He was rude and demanded a late check-in fee by force while I never even showed signs of refusing to pay that amount. He wasn't taking card payments so he instructed me to go withdraw the money including a romantic setup fee that I asked them to prepare for me since it was my wife's birthday. I asked him to view my room before heading out to withdraw cash, and he rudely said the place is as you saw from bookings.com and I insisted. We went in and the place is not clean, he opened the room for me and what I was was the shock of my life, the entire room and furniture are not fit to host guest and an insert passed by the floor, he instantly stepped on it, the romantic decoration was horrible even my two year old son could have done better. I decided I am not making my wife sleep at this place and in that night we drove to look for another accommodation which we got and we enjoyed our holiday there. So in short I never slept at the turning point guest house because of the reasons outlined above and me deciding to not utilise that place meant forfeiting the money I paid because it was non refundable, and yes I then cancelled the reservation and lost the total paid amount. I also asked him if he had other guests, he responded with rude silence and he is so rude that person.

Very bad BB, No hot water to bath, no kitchen, no WIFI, no toilet paper, with aggressive manager

This is a really non-sense BB I have ever seen. The manager, Isaack, is a very frustrated person, very aggressive and abusive. I wonder how he manages to stay on this BB. This BB has no kitchen, no toilet paper in the toilet, and no hot water to bathe in. I personally bathed with cool water this morning. The first day I called Isaak to find out if I can check in at 14h00, he refused and said I must only check in at 16h00. I then checked in around 19:30, and Isaak insisted and charged me extra R200 for late check in. On their website, I never saw the late check in fee. When I tried to verify, he didn't allow me to verify and started harassing and abusing me verbally, Because i didn't want to fight with him, I was forced against my will to give him extra R200 in cash for the sake of peace. On May 8, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., when I was busy on the phone call, Isaack come in I told me that if I didn't leave right away, I will be forced to pay an extra R200 to him in cash for the late check out. This man, Isaack, has very bad behavior and manners. Never book this guest house. In fact, Booking.com should remove this BB from his list. I checked in on Sunday, May 5, 2024 and left on May 8, 2024, for another guest house because of all non-senses pertaining to the stupid and bad Turning point BB in Kuirlsrviver Capetown.

Not Happy at all

Receive 2 sachets of coffee on the 1st day, nothing further. Glass left in room without cleaning. Garden not maintained. There is no aircon, hosts are not freindly or accomodating at all. Tiles are slippery when it rains, I fell as a result of this. Arrived twice to find rhe door locked, difficult to get hold of host. I wanted to extend my stay for another week to find the rate nearly tripled

Breakfast was not included in my booking, we had free cups of coffee on the first day. I was using self catering .

There is a lack of administration / reception to welcome new clients and to do telephone contacts with them not only email. On the day of arrival in Cape town it was a struggle to get a venue although I knew the area of Kuilsriver & we get lost because there was no telephone contact. That caused the delay for time to check-in , i was late for 15-20 minutes.

Location near shopping center and airport and was gone all day.

The rooms and place smelled very bad. There were even dead cockrplaceoaches on the floor and geckos on the windowsill inside. The pillows were non-comfy (lumppy) and no handwash or towels were provided. No wifi and undercover parking

Horrible

Nothing to like there. Owners were very rude and arrogant, I was mistreated, shouted at, insulated and robbed, I paid for 2 nights but kicked out after one night without any refund. I was the only guest. Place is dirty and unsafe. I almost lost my life. I was made to wait for hours out side before checking in on my 1st night because there was no one to let me inside. I have what's app conversation pleading with them to open for me 😭

Dirty place, unsafe, waiting outside for many hours before owners came and let me In, no respect for guests, they reminded me every time that they are the owners, they refused to give me receipt of payment. Bad attitude, there were no other guests in that place Hence I was manhandled . I was rescued by Uber driver

The room we were given was nothing like the ad. The bedsheets were not clean enough. They did not provide the services that was expected of them.

Everything I expected and really value for money especially in high season

Location perfect. Nice quiet area. Hosts were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Would recommend the place to anyone who just need a break away from home. Had a nice rest with no disturbance. Rooms clean.

Only issue I have is the shared bathroom but not really a problem as it was never occupied when I needed to use it as there is a limited number of guests anyway.

My stay was ok, although the room was disappointing.

The location is good. Area is quiet and safe.

I did not like the room. The room is small and overcrowded with furniture. My husbanx and I could not move freely in the room due to limited space. Roof fan was very noisy. The bed was uncomfortable. I did not like the black linen. Not having a separate toilet from bath and shower was very inconvenient. The owners however, were friendly.

The way to the venue is quite scary and looks quite dodgy, the hosts are very cold, there was no orientation at all on arrival we didnt even know how to put the tv on or where the plug of the tv is. The rooms and beds are not clean with old airfreshner containers (I guess owners are not even aware they needs to be replaced). We were forced to pay R200 extra for being late while they provide only an hour to check it. Honestly I always book venues but this was the worst. There is no kettle, coffee, nor microwave in the room. All I can say is, 'book it at your own risk.'
