Casa Gelso

La struttura è in un punto strategico per il mare, vicino e comodo ,camere e ambienti spaziosi, pulizia impeccabile e gradito omaggio all'arrivo. Ottima anche la comunicazione con l'host che si è dimostrato molto gentile e sempre disponibile. Personalmente ho adorato anche i guanciali del letto, comodissimi e non è scontato!

La struttura è molto datata, le zanzariere sono presenti ma in alcuni punti rovinate quindi le zanzare entrano lo stesso. Cè uno scaldabagno quindi bisogna stare attenti al consumo di acqua,in cucina non cè acqua calda quindi per lavare i piatti non è il top farli con la fredda, la pompa dell'acqua è rumorosa e nella doccia non cè il miscelatore quindi ci vuole del tempo per trovare una temperatura fattibile, nel frattempo si usa altra acqua calda e si rischia di restare senza.La parte idraulica è davvero un problema.

Il posto è situato a due passi dalla spiaggia di Punta Prosciutto e molto vicino anche ad altre rinomate spiagge del Salento Ionico. Ottimo punto di appoggio per chi desidera fare mare ma anche per chi desidera scoprire il fantastico Salento.

La costruzione è datata e rende necessari alcuni importanti lavori strutturali. Mancano, infatti, alcuni servizi quali l'acqua calda in cucina per lavare pentole e piatti e una doccia più funzionale nella regolazione dell'acqua calda/fredda.

Casa Gelso is close to very nice beach, for us it was very important due to younger son - 4 years

Beds in second bedroom were very noisy, with each movements of my sons I woke up. It is necessary to invest some money to renovation of appart.

- Francesco and his mother are extremely nice, considerate and helpful; anything we asked about (e.g. electric kettle, olive oil) was solved fast and to full satisfaction. Francesco communicated proactively trying to anticipate any smallest wish we may have. - Generally the flat is well equipped, there was mineral water, all cooking utilenses, moka coffee pot, washing machine, plenty of paper towels and toilet paper, stove, drying rack for clothing, good mosquito nets on windows, good large refrigerator. - The peaches which were among the fruit that welcomed us in the flat were the best ever. - The terrace is super nice, surrounded by garden trees and blossoming oleander, and mega pleasant to sit and work from.

- All my concerns about the flat were resolved fast and to a great satisfaction by the host - In the autumn 2021 the shower in the flat is barely usable -- because of the small pump its water changes the temperature and pressure all the time, and you are either boiling yourself or it’s too cold, and as the shower head is fixed to the wall, you still have to stand right under it. This pump is pretty loud and it wakes everyone up at night when the toilet is flushed, but also sometimes for no reason. There is also a shower in the basement (haven’t tried it though). However, Francesco has great plans to improve the flat, therefore expecting this will no longer be a problem for the future guests.
