Serra Mar

The best part about this stay is the chicken and duck farm that is behind the house! Guests will not be bothered by the animals but if you’re an animal lover like me, it is very special to see them being well taken care of. And they have a dog that hangs out with the chickens! The host checked in with us regularly and even provided fresh eggs from his chickens. The kitchen has everything you need and he even gave us daily water, juice, and fruit. The place is kept very clean and the bed is comfortable. Keep in mind you will need a car to get here. We chose this location because we wanted the flexibility to drive up to Lisbon for the day but also drive down to algarve beaches if we wanted.

Great value in a quiet little town, the host was so thoughtful to leave fresh produce from his garden and eggs for us. House was spotless on arrival. Easy convenient parking. Washing machine was nice to have. Shower was nice and hot. Coffee and coffee maker provided.

The village itself is very quiet, if you want shopping or many amenities it's necessary to have a car.
