C'est La Vie Bed & Breakfast

A nice and quiet place, close to Middleton beach, complimentary breakfast. House is very well taken care of.

Breakfast was self serve with excellent selection of cereal,fruit,yoghurt. Variety of breads with spreads. Pancakes in fridge if desired. Canned spaghetti & beans if you wanted. Every tea you could think of. Good coffee.

A few hassles on arrival but nothing major. We sat outside & read our books for 1/2 an hour.

We were unavoidably delayed and did advise the owner. It could help future travellers and the owner if a key safe were used when necessary. We ended up quite stressed being late and the owner was too.

No welcome. Every room and amenities were closed so very dark inside. We slept in the first day and went to the kitchen for breakfast. We made coffee then the owner came in and abruptly announced it finished an hour ago and just kept walking. We were a bit shocked at the attitude it could have been said with a pleasant manner and by the way welcome.. WE left and bought breakfast. When we arrived back hours later we found the front door open and security door locked and windows opened fully. We were very shocked as not even the owner should enter without permission her home or not. We did not see the host until the last day when another couple arrived. At breakfast we greeted everyone by a bright good morning. The host spun around looked at us and turned her back on us when finished the conversation then left. We were not made welcome at all and left very unhappy with the whole stay. Each day we were there the room was entered into door and windows opened up our personal affects were moved so felt very vulnerable. I realize that living in the home at the same time must be hard as it is her home but monitoring camera in the kitchen and main area of sitting made us feel like we were not welcome there as she would be watching us on her recording of us. Very glad to leave and has put us off B&Bs
