It was a unique property in a lot of ways. It was fairly isolated but on the banks of some delightful canals. The town of Saint Omer was close by which provided everything you could need. The host (Olivier) was very welcoming. Lots of bird life.
The property was fine. Our preference would probably to be able to walk to shops, restaurants etc. but that’s a personal preference . It would be very difficult without a car!
