About this farm stay rental

Secluded 4.5 acre, countryside setting with private parking and garden, owners live on site to rear/apart, and are available for assistance throughout your holiday. Only 5kms to amenities at Mortain with open air pool (summer) Karting, plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas. Large living accommodation, Smart TV, Wifi, fibre internet, 7ft pool table, Bluetooth speaker, large master bedroom en suite, (2 double beds, can either be separated or used together for super queen size, & bunkbeds and cot, ) family bathroom, Single bedroom, twin bedroom, triple bedroom (double and single beds). Highchairs and 2 cots available. Fully equipped kitchen, gas hob x2 , electric oven x1, gas oven x1, , microwave, coffee machine (senseo), washing machine. All bedlinen & towels supplied. Direct access onto walking and cycle track to rear of property.
Please ask for rates, smaller groups etc °°°Please Note°°° after speaking to VRBO customer service, there is a bug on the system concerning the pool, our pool was retired the other year, after water restrictions in our department, the pool mentioned is the open air pool at Mortaoin 5kms°°°

What a wonderful experience!!! We are a family of 8 and it was a GREAT fit for us! We had plenty of room and our kids loved having a number of rooms to choose from. The home was beautifully furnished and extremely clean. Our kids enjoyed playing with the pool table, having wi-fi, and our youngest had a lot of fun running around the large, gorgeous property (which was very peaceful and well-kept). The hosts/owners were very warm and welcoming, as well as accessible and responsive to any needs that arose, even going to the extent of helping me find a local sightseeing gem that was difficult to find. An unexpected, but delightful (and delicious!) treat was the large complimentary basket of food and drink that was waiting on the kitchen table to greet us upon our entry into the vacation home. We honestly cannot say enough good things about this property and the hosts/owners who were the best we have ever encountered. If we ever get back to this area, we would love to stay here again and have already recommended the home to some extended family who plan to be visiting lower Normandy in the near future.

La maison est très spacieuse et le jardin agréable. La grande table en bois à l'extérieur est vraiment sympa. L'endroit est idéal pour faire la fête entre amis : batterie, sono, lampe disco... Tout est prévu ! Pour les familles, il y a aussi tout le matériel pour les tout-petits, y compris des barrières empêchant l'accès à l'escalier. Très utile. Par contre, propreté et hygiène laissent sérieusement à désirer (trouvé un condom sous mon matelas, de la viande avariée dans le four et du vieux café dans la bouteille thermos). L'électroménager n'est pas entretenu, en mauvais état et sale (sauf le refrigérateur/congélateur qui fonctionne bien). Nettoyer le filtre du lave-vaisselle avant usage est recommandé, de même que les casseroles. Prendre ses propres poêles est préférable, celles mises à disposition sont inutilisables. Lors de notre séjour, gazinière en panne. Heureusement, il y en a deux ! Plusieurs ampoules ne fonctionnaient pas. A l'étage, une très grande chambre avec fenêtre, une 2e de belle taille et deux autres sans fenêtre. L'une possède une tabatière et l'autre n'a aucune lumière naturelle. Cette chambre mesure à peine 4m² et ne peut donc pas être considérée comme telle. Pas de possibilité d'aérer les chambres sauf avec un ventilateur poussif. Il faisait étouffant: 27-28° la nuit dans les chambres, et plus de 30 la journée. Les salles de bain sont sympa, mais n'ont pratiquement pas d'aération. Il faut laisser les portes ouvertes en dehors des périodes d'utilisation. La piscine est en réalité plus une pataugeoire qu'une piscine. Bien pour les enfants. Pour des adultes, elle permet de se rafraichir un peu, sans plus.

Le gîte est très agréable. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le billard dans la pièce principale. Les enfants ont pu jouer sur la grande pelouse et profiter des animaux. Ils ont aussi beaucoup aimé la grande chambre où ils ont pu dormir tous les quatre. Merci à Susan pour son accueil et sa disponibilité. Seul bémol : le manque d'isolation entre les chambres.

La maison est spacieuse, une grande pièce de vie avec un billard et une grande cuisine. La configuration des chambres était un peu étrange mais chacun a trouvé sa place malgré tout. Le billard est un plus, la localisation également. Merci à Suzan pour sa gentillesse.
