    Honestly, from the moment you enter the hotel, it feels very outdated. The lobby is dark, the furniture is old, and it looks like very little has been renovated over the years. The rooms are in poor condition, with worn-out furniture. Although some rooms are advertised as having a Nile view, in reality the view is only partial and quite limited. The air conditioning is one of the biggest issues. I had to change rooms twice, yet the same problem remained. The AC units are very old and do not work properly, making the rooms uncomfortably hot, especially in the afternoon. Some bathrooms have been renovated, while others have not, but overall the hotel feels old, including the televisions and other room facilities. The cleanliness standard is quite low. Every day I would see a plate of leftover watermelon sitting on a table in the corridor, and it would often remain there until the next morning. Breakfast is very basic and disappointing. The traditional local bread was not available before 9:00 AM, which is hard to understand for a hotel breakfast service. The eggs were overcooked and burnt every single day, even after I specifically asked for them not to be. Overall, unless you have a very strong reason to stay here, I would not recommend this hotel. It is expensive for what it offers, and you can easily find cleaner hotels, closer to the Nile with a direct view, for a similar price.

    I stayed here with a friend twice this May. The staff are fabulous: so helpful, cheerful and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful .. the pool and poolside restaurant are fab! Super location. I’ll be staying here again I hope! Susan
