Bad for people who is looking for kayaking, snorkeling and diving.

Swimmimg Pools. Employees were great (except the manager).

Be careful with the facilites that are offered by the hotel in the page!!! Check if they are real!! They advertised snorkel and Kayak as facilities provided by the hotel with additional cost but that is OK for me) and I chose the hotel precisely for that, but once I arrived I found that there was no snorkel nor Kayak in the hotel. After asking several employees I was suggested to try in a place in other beach nearby but what I found there was another type of boat (very slow just for fun) and no snorkeling at all. After my complain the worst came - Mr Giorgio, the manager, instead of apologizing and correcting immediately the mistake started trying to defend his position (“other hotels do the same”, “the page says that there is an additional cost”). So, with this view they could include the Acropolis as a facility of the hotel…!!!!! As of today after all my complain they somewhat improved the information about snorkeling but are still misleading (since essentially they don’t provide anything and that beach has poor visibility underwater) and, even worse, they are totally misleading regarding kayak. Not sure if they also advertise other facilities they don’t have.

Tiny rooms Gym doesn’t open until 8am on Monday to Saturday and 9am on Sunday. Just crazy. How can parents with families exercise whilst kids are sleeping and out of heat peak times. Breakfast below par with additional costs for omelettes and bland food. Charge extra costs of 35 euros per night for your car to be parked onsite. Not reasonable for a 5 star hotel.

AMAZING location & relaxing stay at the beautiful Divani Apollon. We'll be back!

The Divani Apollon was exceptional. This is not an American owned hotel so it definitely has a European feel to it, but the location was beyond our expectations. The category room we booked was apparently the lowest category room but the room was still very nice, clean and perfect for our stay. Our friends stayed in a more renovated room which they loved but again, our "lower category" rooms were perfect. We booked 2 rooms for 2 adults and 2 older kids. We LOVED the private beach in front of the hotel, the amazing pools (there is a salt water and "sweet water" (still not sure what that means) pool available on the property. We LOVED the amazing restaurants in front of the hotel (notably Panorama and Garbi with tables overlooking the ocean where you can enjoy the most amazing sunsets at dinner). The breakfast at the hotel was also very good. There was a great selection of breads, smoked salmon, eggs (no omelette station but prepared eggs of all sorts), cheeses and an amazing array of delicious baked goods. I was always hesitant about visiting Athens because I heard it was so congested and dense. The Divani Apollon is like a refuge in a huge and congested city. For those familiar with Los Angeles, it's like staying in Santa Monica when visiting LA. It's really the most perfect hotel and area to visit. We bought tickets for the BigBus/HopOnHopOff as there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel so we did site seeing during the day and came back to Vouliagmeni in the afternoon for the beach, dinner and beautiful walks. We also ended up walking to Voula for dinner and gelato which was an amazing area to see authentic local Greek life. Very family friendly restaurants and reasonable prices. Our family went to Crete, Santorini, Naxos and ended our trip in Athens. Staying at the Divani Apollon was a perfect transition back to city life after (or to prep for) a visit from (to) the beautiful and relaxing Greek islands.

We loved everything about our stay at the Divani Apollon! The only thing I'll say here is this isn't an American style hotel. The staff is direct without the cheery standards most Westerners are used to receiving. If you're not overly sensitive and don't mind responses like, "You can buy water or drink the tap water", you're good. One other note is about the gym. The gym is a beautiful state of the art gym - the only issue is the hours! They have very strict gym hours and if they close at 7pm and you want to get a quick workout in and show up at 6:45pm, they'll remind you 5 times that they close at 7pm and will make sure you don't stay a second after closing hours. For those who workout in the morning, they opened at 11am on Sun and at 8am on Mon. This isn't very conducive for those who want to get their workout done first thing in the morning! At most American hotels, the hotel gym is accessible 24/7 and patrons assume their own risk without the hotel staff hovering over them. As this gym is super nice and there are spa facilities next to the gym that might require hotel staff to maintain / manage - they might want to consider extending their gym hours everyday from 6am - 10pm to accommodate different schedules.

Staff are friendly and helpful , amazing Bellboys! thank you ... Comfortable hotel Clean beach but stairs to get to sea needs to be a bit wider more safe for kids too! , Nice pool one with seawater didn't try the other .. Yummy greek salad at the pool couple of restaurants near by , recommended : Panorama ( next door walking) , Tylixto ( 4 minutes by car) Big Bus Tour stop is just down the road (however that bus didn't have anything to be said on audio )! If you're going in low season its okay if you're spending most of your day out of Hotel.

Too expensive for what it is ... trip was END of June i understand the high season but its not worth its price. Breakfast :- No live cooking egg station, okay no problem but when asked they said An omlette is only done at extra Charge, since when are 5 star hotels charging extra for such thing ?!?!?! im already paying a lot per night! NOT A 5* hotel Breakfast but i cant deny its okay .. Good... Had to ask them twice for Extra hot coffee pot and they got it just warm to room temperature until they understood i wont quit asking before they get it right . Room amenities :- very shy to put things Toilletries like the mini boxes with cottonpads , brush etc only first day and for 1 person (my reservation was intitially 1 pp room ) but then when we arrived, room was getting ready! and after paying for a 2nd person, they should update it accordingly before entering!. 1 Complementary Water bottle , i had to ask them to get for second gurest . On second day had to ask the room service to get me those complementary water bottles ! Coffee and tea only first day or two then no REFILLS , Hair Dryer beyond WEAK :- barely any air comes out of that so called " hair dryer" I had to reserve an extra night before reservation started on the phone , she had told me a price and asked if i wanted to pay by phone , i said no i will do that when i reach . When i got their , the price was more and also it didnt include the tax , i had paid an extra 100 somehting euros from what was said on phone . Then as i was checking out the counter lady goes we need to reverse a partial of taxes that we made you over pay , i only got 60Euro back . but better than nothing Indoor pool area needs renovation, went to see it in a chance to relax in the AC around it after a day in the sun , it was too humid and stinky , opened the door took a look and ran away !

Hotel right next to a small church as as Easter we had midnight fireworks until 1am. All fine usually but we had an early morning flight so putting us on the other side of the hotel would have been appreciated. Indoor pool ok and spa had a charge and not many facilities for the price.

An old-time gem in Athens

I had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and polite. Highly recommend the spa of the hotel Highly trained staff offering very good treatments. We tried 4 and the pool. Although the pool looks kinda outdated for my taste, it is the only one with sea water, so its unique and I understand the challenge of it. As I said. Not to be missed. The look of it doesn't take away its value. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant on the other hand. I ordered a salad and a soup, paid almost 39e and the taste was average. Not a good value for money.

Breakfast was awful, baycon was not fresh probably they served it 3-4 days as it was so dry that carton box is softer. My wife got food poisoning because of their breakfast. We just ate there once! The cleaning in the room inexistent even if we tip the cleaner, all the corners dirty, in the mini bar expired milk from previous people open. Staff not polite when we reported the problems.

For a 5 star hotel the service they provide is horrible, they dont even put water in your rooms, you have to order through room sevice, they will try and charge you for everything they can, i asked for early checkin if possible they said sure for an additional 200 euros, i didnt get the room i requested on booking their excuse was yes it depends on availability. ive been their customer for more than 15 yrs and it saddens me to say i will never book there again. rooms are very old havent chaanged since i first stayed there over 15 years ago. breakfast felt a bit like 2 star hotel, its there but the options and quality felt like they were trying to cut cost always.

Amazing place to stay in Greece!

View was fantastic, staff were great, amenities were great, and local restaurants were amazing.

Wall were a bit thin so at times we could hear the people next door talking. Luckily, we didn’t spend much time in our room so it was a non-factor for us.

The location of this hotel is great! Out of the hustle of Athens, with its own small beach and two pools. Beautiful spa facility and excellent breakfast.

In our room, you could hear our neighbors perfectly through the connecting vent in the bathroom. Awkward! And our shower drain wasn’t working so to take a shower you stood in two inches of water.

We expected better

The swimming pools and breakfast were good. The hotel staff were professional operators, but something has changed in the atmosphere in comparison with previous years.

Despite the fact that the room was refurbished, the room door and corridor were old and tatty and the bedding was not comfortable. Lots of noice came through the door till late at night and early in the morning by other banging doors at our floor. Business Conference was going on which caused a lot of noise and nuisance outside the conference rooms in different parts of the hotel even near the swimming pool area. In this way it is was not relaxing to sit at the poolside. In contrary to previous years we thought the staff was not so happy, as they were not smiling a lot. We also didn’t like that we couldn’t leave a tip anymore on the bill.
