The property was beautiful. Everything you needed for a week away. The staff were so polite and welcoming. The pool was excellent, and the family of cats on site kept us very entertained. Breakfast was always wonderful and fresh and started us off for a great day exploring the wonderful island.
Not really a dislike, but aware local transport is virtually non-existent and the property is located at the top of a long road.

Eliathos Hillside Retreat was a wonderful place to stay. We had a good mixture of relaxing and taking in some culture and history of Archanes and Heraklion. Archanes was a 15 minute walk, Heraklion was a half hour drive, or slightly longer bus ride. Audrey our host looked after us so well. She helped us with recommendations of where to eat, catch a bus and anything else we wanted to know. I would recommend this place to anyone, it was a really lovely holiday.

The layout of our room was wired. i.e. you could not dry and have a mirror too so you can style them as there was not power supply. The room was not as clean. Overall ok. Location + views very nice.

Excellent staff especially Audrey
who is the best asset of the place
Beautiful setting
Very uncomfortable sofa bed even with duvet under the bottom sheet
No bedside light
The room was full of light at night from outside and inside
If you made use of the sofa bed there was nowhere to sit if four of us had been staying it would have been odd
Breakfast fruit was dull mainly apples ..we had breakfast in a touristy cafe the day before with excellent yoghurt figs peaches strawberries and bananas
The whole place was a case of style over substance
