Directions to find the cottage. It said to turn left opposite Mayon garage. It turned out that there was no sign for the garage and it was a just a collection of old cars.

Comfortable property on a main road with lots of passing traffic

Very well stocked kitchen! Comfy beds and a great big bath

Access between the property and car park is challenging, especially in bad weather. Privacy issues with windows right on the sidewalk next to the shop and chippy - lots of passing traffic! Scalding hot water - great for running a steaming bath but potentially dangerous for washing up or children.

Small and chilly cottage, but generally good

everything expected was there, plus things I’d been advised wouldn’t be, such as oven gloves, tea towel and well equipped kitchen. so I took quite a lot of kitchen stuff I didn’t need. even the knives were sharp, which was definitely not expected. There were even dishwasher tablets, which was great. But despite request there was no inventory of what was there and so you had to take more than necessary.

The heating was pre-set and seemed unchangeable. it was 2 degrees colder than I normally feel as comfortable. there was a small wardrobe in 1 bedroom and 1 drawer unit in the other bedroom. fine for me, but not sure it could work for two or more people. it was smaller than expected and not as rural or isolated as I’d hoped for. it’s actually a small development of about 12 properties.
