Lovely cottage in the countryside

The cottage was great. It was deep in the countryside. It was very peaceful. It was ideally situated for exploring mid Wales .The host provided plenty of tea, coffee, and scones. It was very pretty and I would definitely recommend it.

The unkept road leading to the cottage was terrible. It hurt my back at times. They could do with filling in some of the deep holes as it scraped the exhaust on my husband's car. The bath was very slippery and I would recommend a mat if you are showering and perhaps a grab roll to help you get out. There are peacocks which are lovely but tend to be noisy at times around 5 am.

Beautiful cottage situated in the most stunning location. The hosts were wonderful and we loved the resident animals and all the wildlife. Perfect retreat will be going back

Exceptional

This is one of the most relaxing vacations we ever had. The cottage is like from a fairytale and the natural surroundings are alike: magical! The whole cottage is well equipped and the host even put fresh farm eggs in the kitchen for us, as well as a basket of wood for the fireplace. The folder in the cottage lets you know where to buy more wood and gives excursion tips. If you love a quiet, romantic hideout, this is the place to go to.

Fantastic

Staying at Hawthorns was like a fairytale, everything is beautifully decorated with a lot of thought and attention to detail. The host is very friendly, the cottage is clean and wonderful. We had our toddler with us and he was in awe with all the animals: He loved the peacocks, chickens and horses and of course the little friendly dog Milo. There are nearby farms selling local eggs, cakes, jams etc. We used our stay in the cottage as a base to explore a bit of Wales: Mainly the cardigan coast, Cenarth falls, Snowdonia ( a bit of a drive but doable) and Breacon Beacons. Although it is an excellent base to explore this part of Wales it could defenitly be used just for some peace and quiet listening to the birds singing and to watch the stars. It is a fantastic place that left us with a sweet taste and wanting to go back again. Diolch Diane 😀

A proper cottage set in a rural space surrounded by woodlands with a stream flowing through.

Fantastic hosts and friendly pets. Beautiful setting. Easy to get to pembrokshire. Cosy cottage and private garden.

Alles beviel goed aan de cottage, alleen het weggetje er naar toe was moeizaam, diepe putten, slecht onderhouden.
