The Milking Parlour

The property was super clean and well laid out. The kitchen was well equipt with everything you could need, including a scourer, washing up liquid and t-towels. The fresh local milk in a bottle and chocolates was a lovely touch. The sofa's and beds were all very comfortable. You could easily stay there for a week or more with the storage room provided. There was even a fan and hair dryer in the main room. It was so lovely and peaceful, yet only a 15 minute drive into York centre. My sons and I had a super relaxed time which was exactly what we needed. The owners are very friendly and helpful too, without being intrusive.

My only suggestion would be that they supply a knife sharpener. All the kitchen utensils were there to make a variety of meals, just a sharper knife would have been useful.

In my opinion a gold standard of this style of property , spotlessly clean fully furnished , plenty of space , comfortable beds , adjacent parking , wonderful grounds , quiet , in other words a perfect stay modern fixtures and fittings everything on hand for self catering , very warm in fact turned down the heating , I would hope to come back at anytime we enjoyed every minute Thank you .

I really cant think of anything this place suited our needs 100%

Close to amenities and the Christmas tree was a lovely surprise very quiet and well equipped

The property was first class. It just felt like the place you would want to relax in. Wide open planned. Plenty of cooking utensils to make a lovely dinner. Lovely comfy beds in both rooms. The bathroom has a large bath for a good old soak. I would love it as my home
