The situation on the shore of the Moray Firth makes it a delightful place to spend time simply admiring the views and the changing light over the sea. Great location for many outdoor activities. Walking, Cycling, Sailing, Birdwatching, Golf and horse riding can all be enjoyed locally. There are some excellent local museums for rainy days and good restaurants to be found in Fortrose, Munlochy and Cromarty. The highland capital of Inverness is only 10 miles away and boat cruises on Loch Ness are always popular. Ancient Pictish remains dot the landscape in this area which is mainly agricultural. It is a perfect gate way to the west coast for a day out to the Isle of Skye and the beauty of the more rugged west coast.

A lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful area. The host was very communicative and the place was pegged for us.

This is a very charming cottage that retains the character of it’s past. The owner met us on arrival and gave a very thorough introduction to the property. Unfortunately Storm Amy hit the area hard and we were forced to leave the area sooner than expected. The owner fully understood and was very helpful with her suggestions and offers of help. We were disappointed not to be able to stay longer but would return again and we recommend this property to others. We would like to thank the owner for her support.

My family spent 5 days at this locely cottage in Avoch. The cottage is beautiful, just steps from the water, with a rocky beach great for beachcombing. The cottage was clean and nicely decorated. Suzana was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond to questions.

Suzana has a beautiful cozy cottage with a peaceful view over the water. Her cottage has everything you need along with thoughtful little pieces here and there for your enjoyment. If you’re looking for something authentic, peaceful with lovely little villages about, this is the place.

The cottage was renovated and well done. It was really quite comfortable and the backyard was wonderful! Suzana was very diligent, having met us at check in to explain the ins and outs of her cottage. She was really easy to communicate with via whats ap. We very much appreciated her. I will say anyone over 5' 9" ish will find the bathroom doorway tricky. My husband and I are both over 5' 9" and despite the well placed warning sign to mind our heads, we still hit them a couple of times. The only other thing to be aware of is that a washer and dryer are listed as available in the cottage, but it's just a washer. The clothes line outside is where we had to hang our clothes to dry. Other than that, we would recommend staying with Suzana!

Suzana met us at her cottage, explained how all the switches worked and provided all sorts of helpful information about her cottage and the area. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to prepare meals. It was comfortable and warm and very clean. Watching the water frrom the cottage was really special. Would definitely go back again.

It’s difficult to describe what a fantastic cottage this is. Charming, clean, comfortable and completely updated. The location was perfect for exploring the Highlands but we mostly enjoyed staying put, walking the beach and watching the wildlife. Suzana is the perfect host, making sure all our needs were met while being highly responsive. I’ve stayed in many short-term rentals and this was probably the best experience ever.

We had an absolutely amazing stay. Suzana was wonderful, meeting us with a big smile, great personality, and suggestions for our visit. The cottage is very cute and comfortable. It is in a great location to explore the surrounding area (Black Isle, highlands, etc). We even saw dolphins in the sea nearby! Only minor hiccup is that there is a washing machine but no dryer (we got lucky and it was sunny so we could hang-dry), but honestly other than that it was perfect.

We had a great time in a very nice cosy house. We felt welcome right away, thanks to Suzana, who welcomed us very friendly and gave clear instructions and suggestions. The wine, shortbread and beautiful flowers were a real treat. And the service was great; we stayed 2,5 weeks and every Monday the house was cleaned! Never experienced this before in other vacation houses. The location was for us a perfect 'base camp' to discover the Highlands. Many interesting places are within reach and also the direct environment is inspiring. Only a 45 minute walk to Chanonry Point to see dolphins; of you're lucky and we were! All in all a great location, highly recommended! Thank you Suzana!

Well equipped cozy waterfront cottage on an Isle off Inverness; the gateway to the Highlands. Wife and I stayed 5 days and used for hub-spoke travel. Suzanna is a very helpful, flexable and responseful hostess. Comfortable king bedroom (adjoing double BR). Park next to house or on waterfront. Outside seating and sunsets. Good driving access to major highways and the small roads to castles and distilleries. Cute town, quiet and peaceful. Be prepared to relax. Authenic Scotland. Very strong internet speed for small town. Basic groceries within walking distance and several good restaurants on Isle. Highly recommend for quite getaway.

We had a lovely 3 nights staying here. Suzy was amazing from the start - excellent communication and the bottle of wine and shortbread was a lovely tough and really appreciated. The cottage was spotless and the interior was so cosy with a sea view. I literally sat eating my breakfast looking at waves directly out the front of the house. Such a beautiful, cozy cottage set in a wonderful location. It felt like we were out in a secluded fishing village, when in reality we were only about a 15 minute drive from Inverness. The village of Avoch was lovely to walk around in and all the locals were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again! Suzana was very responsive and easy to work with.

This was our third stay in this cosy and comfortable cottage. It is very well equipped with everything you could need, and is located right by the sea in a small village with good local facilities including a small supermarket and three takeaways. It is a good base for exploring and seeing the amazing scenery in this part of Scotland. Suzana is an excellent host and makes you very welcome. Highly recommended.

After a warm welcome by the owner, we found a cozy and very comfortable cottage. The nice cottage was fully equipped, nothing was missing. We also enjoyed the lovely and relaxing garden. The view over the sea was great. Avoch is a good starting point for several tours. If there would be a further stay in Scotland during the next years, we would book this lovely cottage again.

This property close to Inverness turned out to be exactly as advertised and as exactly what we were looking for. Cozy, well equipped and comfortable and with great views over the firth. The only drawback was that there is no pub in Avoch but we solved that by being welcomed to the local sports club as guests! Local fish and chips were great too!
