About this apartment rental
The Villa di Giomici farmhouse is located in the homonymous village of Giomici, a medieval castle of rare beauty immersed in an oak forest 600 meters above sea level. We are in the municipality of Valfabbrica, a natural watershed between Assisi and Gubbio, two of the pearls of the green heart of Italy. The apartment is located in the manor complex of the Vagni family, the age-old owner of the village, about 200 meters from the castle.
The "Il Geraneo" apartment is a prestigious apartment, located on the first floor of the house, with a large panoramic terrace that looks towards the sacred Mount Subasio (Assisi) and the Chiascio river valley. It has a beautiful private garden for the exclusive use of the apartment with water and a barbecue for beautiful al fresco dinners in the evening. Fantastic base for both historical and artistic excursions (Gubbio 20 km, Assisi 15 km, Perugia 30 km, Spello 25 km, Spoleto 50 km) and naturalistic excursions (Monte Subasio park 20 km, Monte Cucco park, Franciscan path 3 km, caves of Frasassi, gorges of the Rio Grande 5 km) both by trekking and by mountain bike.
Only in winter there is an additional cost of €60 per day for heating the villa.

Umberta was very welcoming and pleasant! She gave us some homemade wine on arrival. She was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed staying in her large apartment! The heating system worked well, and we were very comfortable in the accommodation! She even gave us a tin of homemade biscotti, which was very nice and unexpected. Highly recommended!

We had a fabulous 10 day stay here. The apartment was superb with a balcony, table and sunshade where we ate breakfast and supper most days and gave lovely views of the Umbrian countryside. The communal pool just down the road was lovely to cool off after a hot day out. And Umberta was a most welcoming host providing home made biscotti, tomatoes and a delicious tart and always happy to give any help or advice. We felt like part of the family and did not want to leave. Highly recommended.

We had a super nice reception and welcome. Umberta was incredibly attentive, discreet and present during our two weeks. Her personality is very rare. For us, she is a great lady who you couldn't wish for a better hostess. Her house is charming and extremely well cared for. incredibly spacious and always cool during the hot weather. The view you have from the balcony is breathtaking. This makes you feel good every day. We would like to thank her very much for her services and her presence. We recommend her home to everyone, young and old! We hope to come back one day.
