CanariasBrisaMar - Apartamento

Very clean, spacious apartment. Good sized rooms. Lovely views across the bay. The roof terrace and adjacent room were large. Well equipped and lots of herbs, spices, oils, tea coffee etc there when we arrived. Door leads straight onto the promenade with a range of bars/restaurants very close. Helpful, friendly host who met us there and explained how things worked. There is no onsite parking, but we never had a problem parking very close for free.

Only small things. Some pans a bit tired and I think a BBQ on the terrace would have been a bonus. Be aware, there are over 40 stairs up to the apartment, but that may not be a bad thing after a good lunch!

The Brisamar is a nice three bed, two bath apartment that can accommodate up to 3 couples (easily one couple with children) even though the master bedroom is clearly bigger than the two others. Adequate bathrooms, good beds and enough towels with washing possibilities in connection with the terrace upstairs. Arinaga itself is a nice fairly non-commercial city with plenty of restaurants to serve both locals and mainly Spanish tourists (Nelson by far the best restaurant, we tried out six including Faro, which we ranked close to last). Brisamar is well located for hiking in the southern parts of Gran Canaria, and swimmers can easily enjoy the sea just outside the apartment. Free parking is available in the streets, but as it's sometimes hard to find, renters should not miss the option of using the garage.

Not much negative to report. We had one electricity black out during our stay, but our landlord was quickly there to fix it (he is both an electrician and a plumber). The kitchen equipment and utensils were sufficient for four persons, but for six persons the situation could be slightly troublesome (especially glasses, bowls and the like).
