About this villa rental
Villa La Joia, a traditional Spanish country house (or Finca) on two floors, overlooks olive groves that sweep down to the Mediterranean Sea. Villa La Joia is in a tranquil location yet, close to beaches, villages, shops and local attractions.
Breakfast on the upper terrace, lunch under the shady carob tree, a barbecue in the evening or a family meal around the large kitchen table – Villa La Joia is perfect for enjoying the best of local produce with friends and family.
The main entrance to the villa leads into a large Farmhouse kitchen, this is the heart of the house with a country style dining table and a comfy chair bedside the wood burning stove.
From the kitchen there is a small hallway that leads to the Twin bedroom, the main bathroom and the Master bedroom - with super king size bed and ensuite bathroom. The ground floor also has a Family room which sleeps 4, in two twin beds and bunk beds.
The stairway from the kitchen leads to the upper hallway which has a sofa and bookcase and is the perfect corner for reading. From this upper hallway there is a large Lounge with an open fireplace, sofas, bookcase and TV. The Double bedroom is also on the upper floor.
The upper hallway opens onto the large terrace which enjoys views of the sea, of L’Ametlla de Mar and of the surrounding hills. One end of the terrace is covered, providing a shady spot for an outdoor dining table and 10 chairs, while the other end of the terrace has outdoor lounge seating and enjoys the sun all day.

We stayed in Villa La Joia with two families with Kids in age between 1 and 6 years old and it fits for everyone.
We are absolutely excited about our holidays!
The Pool ist fenced and you can lock it.
Theres a childrens high chair and a stair grid. There are also fly screens in front of every window.
The villa is clean and set up in so many lovely details, beautiful paintings and every kind of stuff you might need!
Billy, the owner, gave us a very warm welcome and helped us out whenever we had a question or a problem.
There are many things to do or to see in the near environment.
Now back at home, we really miss the amazing wide view over olive groves.
To make it short:

-Perfect host

We were there in the beginning of july 2019. After a 1400km trip we had a nice welcome from Billy, the host. He was amazing: friendly, always available if wanted/necessary and at the end he asked for feedback. He checkt the pool whenever possible.
The house itself had two Parts: the villa, as described in the add, and a smaller one with a pooltable in it and a pingpongtable next to it. Everything was very clean and spacious. And everything (really everything) was there! More glasses, plates,...than needed but even extra linnen, ventilators, babycod, little lights, ...
Also really nice was the terras upstairs and the fact that every window had bars and a fly-net. When they kids were sleeping we could sit upstairs without fear.
The pool was ideal for the kids and our own refreshment...and bigger than on the picture.
And the biggest plus: there were people a five minuten walk from us but it seemed like we had the valley on our own. Loved it!

We arranged to get together with family and friends from Australia and U.K. for 2 weeks at Billy's place. It was everything we wanted. Isolated, yet near authentic Spanish towns and lots and lots of small and large beaches to suit every taste. Billy's place has a great terrace with views for the sea, as well as all the facilities you might need to enjoy your time including table tennis, snooker table and especially the pool where we could cool ourselves down. Thanks for letting us stay Billy.

We booked a week at the villa following a few days sightseeing in Barcelona and wished we'd booked two! Billy's welcome couldn't have been warmer and the supplies provided for our arrival were particularly appreciated. Billy was on hand to answer questions and offer help if we needed it during the week. The children loved the pool and the Cassita and most evenings were spent playing pool there following dinner on the terrace. The views from the terrace are stunning.
We managed a day at Miravet castle where the journey across by ferry was certainly an experience! We also visited the Roman sights at Tarragona and spent a fun filled but tiring day at Ferrariland and Port Aventura as well as some more relaxing days pottering around the local villages and beaches.
First time in Catalonia and we certainly want to go back. Thank you for your hospitality.
