We arrived on a rainy afternoon - and indeed it would rain for the whole trip. The trip was wonderful despite the precipitation, and the Dutch Buoy was a big part of that. Ben, the property manager, welcomed us warmly and with humor. He showed us the entire property and made sure we knew how to use everything. The house was large and comfortable and very clean. The kitchen had all of the tools we needed. The town is quaint and full of restaurants and charm and friendly people. Getting to Amsterdam was quick and easy on one of two bus routes. Thank you to our hosts for a wonderful stay.

A charming property in an excellent location. We did have a couple of issues: first, when we used the cooker hob we noticed a strong acrid smell which spread through the house. We reported this on the first morning and were advised it would have been cleaning product. It happened again and the concierge contacted the neighbour who had also smelled it. This time it was attributed to the neighbour’s bbq. Second, we only had 2 bath towels between 4 adults. There were 3 bath towels on arrival but one was too badly marked to use. We reported this on our first morning but no extra towels were supplied. Finally, the sound of the village clock chimes every half hour is charming during the day - not so much in the night.
