I absolutely loved this place. My room was a sensationally beautiful historic room, full of character and atmosphere, and I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to have found somewhere so gorgeous on the Camino. The whole property had such a wonderful atmosphere, and the café/restaurant was stunning, with beautiful music and a gorgeous setting. After a long day of walking, sitting there and having scallops was genuinely magical. Everything was clean and beautifully presented, and the value for money was exceptional. I would highly recommend it, especially to anyone walking the Camino.

The only real downside was that the bathroom was shared and I had to walk through two dormitory areas to get to it. This could be quite awkward, particularly at night or if you needed to walk through in a towel. It was a shame because the room itself was so beautiful and special. I also couldn’t get the coffee machine to work, but that was a very minor issue.

No coffee in the morning

Very nice facility. Unique stone building with lots of character. Owner upgraded us for free from a shared bathroom to a private bathroom. Much appreciated! Free coffee, water bottles, and popcorn provided! Very nice shampoo, soap, and lotion provided. Great outside area and views. Seemed we were the only ones in that section so it was like our own little apartment.

WiFi didn’t work inside room because of the stones but understandable. Worked right outside room and in common area which was very nice.

The facility is nice, but the lighting is poor and there are some locations where there is low head clearance and uneven steps. These are hazardous.

The uneven steps caused a guest to break her ankle and ended her Camino. Better lighting and some warning tape should be installed.
