Aapishovi Chalet

The location, how clean the property was, the space - both indoors and out. The outdoor hut with the pit pit was amazing, not mentioned when we booked so such a lovely surprise! The chalet was warm and cosy.

Absolutely nothing - it was perfect!

Thank you Risto. We loved the Chalet. We were 3 families (friends) with 6 children in total between the ages of 3 and 10. We loved the short distance from Rovaniemi (25 minute drive to get to Santa Clause Village and various other attractions). However we were in the wilderness in the forest along the river. The chalet was spacious, the main kitchen area with dining table and log burner was perfect for socialising once the kids were in bed. The kids loved hanging out upstairs on the sofas and they enjoyed the sledges outside. We got the fire going in the cabin outside and had hot dogs and marshmallows one afternoon. We organised husky rides at Bearhill Husky (booked way in advance) and did a Santa visit at Joulukka Secret forest. We also took the kids skiing a couple of times in the afternoon at Ounasavarra - perfect for beginners. We stayed Monday to Friday but wished we had a day or two more, we would then have organised Ice fishing and Reindeer rides. Hire a car, the roads are very easy to drive. There is a k-mart supermarket 10 minutes down the road in Sinetta. We had a couple of meals out in Rovaniemi, a basic burger night at Pure Burger and then a nice meal at Gustav. The highlight was seeing the Northern Lights when we arrived at Aapishovi. Stunning views of them over the frozen river. Would highly recommend Aapishovi if you want a more unique experience as apposed to staying in one of the big ‘resorts’. We had friends staying at Apukka (another 4 families) the same time as we were there … our overall experience at Aapishovi and the tours we booked privately was far better than our friends experience at Apukka. And less expensive!!

¡La mejor Navidad de nuestras vidas! La casa era de cuentos, una experiencia mágica. Risto, su propietario es una persona excelente, amable, cercano, con excelente comunicación en todo momento que te hace estar muy tranquilo. La casa cuenta con instalaciones muy acogedoras, la limpieza es superlativa, todo muy limpio, ordenado, parecía todo nuevo. Había leña a disposición, juegos para los niños, duchas calientes y calefacción las 24 Hs. El acceso es muy cómodo, el camino estaba apto para autos a pasear que había nieve al costado, estaba bien mantenido. Muy cerca de Santa Claus Village. Volveríamos y la recomendamos 100%. Una acogedora cabaña en un entorno natural lejano de la ciudad, ideal para sumergirte en la auténtica esencia de la Laponia finlandesa.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und die Flussnähe war super, um die Polarlichter zu sehen. Man harr sehr viel Platz und die Grillhütte war eines unserer Highlights.

Es ist sehr hellhörig und im Wohnzimmer hat die Lampe einen Wackelkontakt.

Viel Platz, Lage am Fluss, Feuerhütte, Ausblick und der Außenbereich. Unkomplizierte An und Abreise. Super viele Gewürze und Reinigungssachen vorhanden

Heerlijk ruim, gezellige inrichting en mogelijkheden om even apart te zitten. Prachtige omgeving en rustig! Bij het meer een prachtig noorderlicht kunnen beleven.

Misschien iets weinig sanitair/douche voor 12 personen maar we hebben het prima gered.
