Great location, staff were amazing and breakfast was great.

The springs on the bed were digging in and the shower wasn’t great.

The staff, Shan, was very helpful and friendly. He told us about the places to visit. Impeccable service.

A tv would have been nice to complement our stay.

It is idyllic, close to town, peaceful and comfortable. I was greeted with charm and shown the amenities. The Residence is very basic. The hot water works, the toilet works. The electrical plugs are a bit weird and only one source takes the hot water jug and mozzie repellent. The breakfast was interesting. The host asks for your choices and brings what you want to your table on your balcony. Butter cut in heart shapes. Lots of what Sri Lankans imagine is a western idea of an omelette. Perfectly edible, lacking salt and pepper. But the best part of the brekky is the Sri Lankan fruit and coconut crepes, albeit no buffalo curd to go with it, but delicious. I spent some time communing with the resident crow who clearly was eyeing my breakfast. To my utter surprise he sprang up and took the heart shaped butter patty! And when I went inside to get my camera he had somehow polished off all the butter!

Biggest grip: the internet. In todays age, it is not okay to not provide the password somewhere in the room. I mean I did get the password for my laptop. Then, it cut out later in the evening around 930pm. I suspect because more people in the complex started logging on. It’s a lovely spot, and can do with a few simple improvements. • Ensure that you offer both tea and coffee in the room. • Provide better more fragrant amenities in the bathroom. • Supply two towels or one hand towel in addition for customers to use on hair and body. • From my point of view, that in today’s world, Wi-Fi connection not connecting is not okay. Please, fix that. Get stronger wifi connections for the hotel or don’t advertise that you have it.
