The house was very cute and had is own beach. The beach was nice with chairs under the palms and way less sargassum than the beaches in Placencia (important for summer 2025), so our daughter was finally able to swim in the ocean! The beds were comfortable and the house and main bedroom had A/C. It was also super convenient to have washer/dryer access and on-site food and bar.
The house fridge worked, but the door had to be closed with a bungee cord to seal. The slider/beach access door at the end of the master bedroom did not lock and there was no stick to secure it.

The room was good. Clean and nice.
The restaurant closes early and opens late. The pool was closed early too. Also, the restaurant was not the cleanest.

We loved the convenient location, the refreshing pool, the restaurant, the staff, comfortable cabanas, large property right on the beach!
For the time of year there was Sargasso, so we didn't use the beach to swim in the ocean, but they had a lovely pool with ample space for their loungers.
There were some biting yellow flys that came out occasionally on the porch, but not enough to keep us away 😊.

Very good value for money. The pool was great. Restaurant was good (when open) and the lobster was delicious. Kids loved the games that were available.
The scenery is beautiful.
We had the place for ourselves.
Restaurant was not open until very late in the morning. Therefore we could not take our breakfasts on site. Since the resort is very remote you need to factor a 15-30 minute drive to get to another place for breakfast (the one at Maya Beach Hotel Bistro was very good).
Water was dirty and we could not really swim on site. We had to drive to beaches. The site is remote from the other touristy areas (30-40 minute drives).
Bungalow and Beds were small for a family of 5. The owner was transparent on the fact that a family of 5 was too many for a bungalow but I felt that with some effort 2 large beds could have been installed (only 1 or 2 bungalows seemed occupied while we were there).
There was no room service during our 3 night stay.

Dog friendly, really really dog friendly lol,you better like dogs (we do),Our dog was never without resident friends,Laid back, standard menu in the restaurant but everything was really nicely prepared and presented,Staff was outstanding,Our little balcony was a source of constant relaxation.Had to extend our stay by a day cause we didn't wanna leave
Little far from everything, but I'm not sure if that is a con or not,If ok they really want constructive criticis maybe more comfortable patio furniture,we travelled with our own lawn chairs so not an issue

The country was laid back as in all that I have read about, perfect and to my liking, my intention is to in the near future to move there on a 6mth basis yearly, making it my home base so to speak, from what I have seen and experienced from my short visit it fits my needs perfectly.
( LOVED IT I'd recommend it to anyone looked to escape the hustle and bustle if of life in the beautiful USA which is the greatest country in the world.

The view was great
The food options seemed limited for the breakfast and dinners that we had.
Accessibility to get to activities and shopping were limited unless you had a car.

A lovely place to stay and one to remember forever, right on the beach with friendly staff and owner who could not do enough.
Having to go.

Beautiful location, clean grounds & pool. The food was good but we were surprised there is no breakfast option and non nearby so be prepared to be hungry in the mornings.
We booked for 2 adults and 3 children on booking.com. When we arrived we were surprised to see a tiny "room" not setup for 5. The paper the resort had listed 2 adults and 3 children as expected. The American owner was so rude and grumpy. Basically chewed me out for using booking.com It was definitely an adjustment after all the friendly Belizeans we had enjoyed time with at the previous locations. We were the only ones in the whole resort so it would have been nice to have been offered options to accomodate us despite the mixup. I was thinking maybe a second room at a discount perhaps. Instead, he basically said that 8 people have jammed in those little rooms before so we would have to figure out how to fit 5. I eventually got two mattresses from him 9that took some serious talking) but there was no open floor space since the rooms are so small, so two of the children slept under the beds on mattresses while my wife and I and the oldest slept above.
We are a family that enjoys rolling with whatever comes our way (which often makes funny memories). This one was really damped by a rude resort owner.

Perfect beach setting, we loved the peacefulness and the feeling of being tucked in along the coast with expansive beach stretches on both sides. It has a very comfortable, laid-back vibe, so you immediately feel at home. Nicely placed hammocks in the shade, a pier to swim or fish from, good beach entry to the sea, nice (clean) pool, and a large beach area with corn-hole and other games, and picnic tables too. This is a perfect place for families with young children, we'd wish we'd known of it when our kids were small, although they'd love it now too. There are not a lot of cabanas (maybe 6?) and there is no 'bad' location as they are lined up with views to the sea and the beach. The first one is directly facing the sea, so it's more private, but all the others are good too. It would be fun to rent out the entire resort with family or friends. We met the owner briefly, he was friendly and helpful. We were only there one night since we were headed south to a rented house for a longer stay-- we wished we could have stayed longer, though. We also liked the food. I think breakfast is available, but we landed on the cook's day off, however, the proprietor kindly hooked us up with coffee and we had some provisions along. There is a full bar, and open terrace to eat outside. We had lunch and dinner during our stay- it was excellent, and the staff were all friendly and kind to us. We even drove back later in the week for their deliciously prepared chicken, rice and beans, some of the best we had in Belize.
The cabana interiors need some love, however, the current owner is working on them. He finished the exteriors of all the units and they look beautiful. Our cabana was clean, but needed some repairs and cosmetic upgrades. Also keep in mind you'll need a vehicle if you want to venture outside the resort to try other restaurants, there are none within walking distance.

The cabana we had was the only one that faced the water which was nice. The food was excellent. Owners were friendly.
