The place to stay in Clifden

Everything was perfect. Des is a fantastic host. Very welcoming and full of local information. Room are very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was amazing you couldnt ask for more. Settings at table are beautiful. Location is brilliant right in the middle of town. You are missing out if you dont stay here when visiting Clifden.

The most perfect place to stay in Ireland!!!

In all of our travels, we have never found better accommodations, better hosts or a more beautiful place with excellent food served so beautifully! Desmond was a wonderful cheerful host - he made sure you were having a good time. The staff at the B&B were very attentive. The full Irish breakfast was excellent and filling. A perfect start to our day!

A wonderful stay at a beautiful B&B, hosting was superb as was the breakfast!

The host, Desmond, was so welcoming and friendly, we felt at ease immediately. The breakfast was outstanding with plenty of choice and cooked to perfection.

A wardrobe in the room maybe had we have been staying longer than one night.

Lovely hosts who take care of the guests with a genuine personal touch! The B&B has been in the family for 100 years. Excellent breakfast, full Irish, stack of pancakes and continental. Large room with comforable beds, very clean. Location perfect, right in the center of the village.

Great location near the main street of Clifden. Geniune family run B&B. Our hosts treated us as almost like family. Gave us a good pointers for places for dinner. Wonderful breakfast. Very glad we stayed with them.

Car parking on the street. But it wasn't a problem for us as we were able to get a park right outside.

An absolute delight

Desmond greeted us on arrival. So friendly, showed us the whole place. Asked both our names, gave us directions and recommendations for the area. So friendly and a delight to deal with. He called us by name our whole stay. It's the little touches. Breakfast was delicious and Barbara was also so so nice when serving us. We started looking at dates to come back on our drive home. 100% recommend!

Lovely home from home. It's obvious that Eileen takes pride in her home and it's appearance. Your visit feels as though you've been welcomed in to a family home. So relaxing. Best nights sleep on my trip.

A lovely town with a welcoming place to stay. A million thanks

Great location. What a warm welcome we received and we were able to check in early as we had asked for. Very comfortable. Hope we can come back soon. The breakfast was exceptional. I recommend you try the full Irish breakfast or the pancakes with fruit. Would you believe home made applesauce? Ben View is conveniently located in downtown Clifden. A special thanks to Eileen and the Dr in town for help with a medical situation. We felt very well cared for.

Historic and hospitable.

If you’re looking for warm Irish hospitality this is the place, right in the heart of Clifden. We had a large comfortable room with a good shower and were treated to a generous and delicious breakfast, served by the lovely Barbara and our wonderful host Des, who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Highly recommended.

A Clifden gem

Des and Eileen were wonderful hosts in Ben View B&B, they were extremely welcoming, the rooms are very comfortable and a fabulous breakfast provided in the morning. The B&B is in the centre of the town and parking outside is free from 6pm. A wonderfully warm and welcoming place to stay.
