The location overlooking the ocean was to die for

The hotel is very nice and clean, friendly staff and great location (outside of town, but just 2 minutes by car / 10 minutes walking, conveniently in front of the waterfall). Nice garden and ocean views from our balcony, leading to a rocky front beach with a natural pool.
However, we all had the same feeling that the pictures were a bit of an oversell: it's a small hotel, it's not in the middle of the jungle as it appears, the rooms are rather small, no hot water, no breakfast included (i'm sure it's great, but at $17pp, we didn't even try!)... frankly, a bit expensive for what's on offer.

The hotel is in a very quiet area of Puerto Viejo and the bungalows are separated by tropical edges which give a real privacy. The swimming pool is great and the manager is extremely helpful. We enjoyed every minue there.

Excellent location, delicious breakfast, friendly staff
Room was excessively dark. Really could only see during the day time with all the blinds open. Not idea for getting ready in the evening.
