Location good but......

Location was good with parking

The room had not been cleaned as in surfaces were clearly dirty with stains several days old, carpet had not been hoovered and had stains and bins were full and not emptied.

Could have been better.

Breakfast ok.

Location is out of hotels control but very noisy outside till all the bars closed. Room not the cleanest. Bin not emptied. Large drink stain on floor. Bed not the comfiest and lack of pillows. Breakfast service slow and had to ask for clean cutlery and things like butter for the toast and juice, which were then quickly removed again.

Fantastic stay!!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was lovely, clean and spacious - we had a huge bathroom that was stunning with bath and shower. The drinks not badly priced and breakfast the next morning was delicious! Perfect location, central of the beautiful village, everything was within an arms reach even the local co-op was just up the road. We also visited the local Abbey which was beautiful!! We will definitely return again and recommend to friends!

The only one down side we found was the stairs from the pub to the rooms themselves upstairs are very steep.

Location is good but that’s all

Cleanliness poor. Staff that just don’t seem bothered, on their phones.Smelly room. Really the hotel needs a complete upgrade. You also advertise that food is served. They don’t do food, only breakfast. Very noisy at night, think they must of had a lock in… but disturbed night’s sleep due to noise. Definitely not worth the price. Will never stay again

Overnight stay in ideal location for my needs - filthy bedroom and generally run down with clueless staff.

Excellent location.

Inexperienced (?), disinterested, poorly informed staff. Car park more pot hole than tarmac. Room appeared fine when being shown in but once I looked closer, it was filthy! Lots of noise from road (cars and people shouting in the street).

Genuinely Very poor , staff clearly don’t want to be there and pretty much everything is below average.

Proximity to whalley

Not a very nice place to stay , staff where late getting up so we had to wait much longer than agreed to have a very substandard breakfast that needed pre ordering the night before , No full breakfast option just a bacon or sausage sandwich was the only option offered .

The rooms were cold . The room was very tired . The radiator in the bathroom didn’t work They gave us a second bedroom .This was a bit better but again the radiator in the bathroom wasn’t working (I did report this ) There was no bath towels etc . But mainly the door to the hotel room wasn’t working hanging on by two screws (NOT SAFE AT ALL) we paid for breakfast the next day but were informed that due to issues breakfast wouldn’t be happening. We didn’t feel safe so we managed to book another hotel.

Lovely area, good location, awful room, lack of travel connections on a Sunday.

The staff were very friendly

The bedding was dirty, the surfaces were all dusty, the carpet was stained and hadn’t been hoovered. The shower was terrible and the shower doors didnt close properly. There was a huge patch of damp on the walls, the curtains were hanging off the rails and it was very noisy.

OK for an overnight stay.

Staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. The location was ideal for my needs.

Room was satisfactory for a one night stay, but the temperature was a little cold. A separate glass for the bathroom would have been helpful. Unfortunately, since booking, I have developed a problem with my hip which made the stairs particularly difficult.

The staff were lovely, very helpful.

The room was clean, but it was very shabby, wallpaper peeling off the wall, stains on the carpet, chair and bedding. Mould round the window. And the stairs up to the rooms were very steep. Wouldn't recognise for the older generations

Won’t stay again

Good location

Stains on carpet and chairs in the bedroom. Only one light working in the shower and the shower thermostat didn’t work so the water was very hot. The cold water tap ran warm water. Breakfast was very mediocre and the majority tasted inedible so we didn’t eat it. There was only tea or coffee offered at breakfast but neither my partner or I drink that, no alternatives were offered. The bedroom room was freezing cold and there was no way to turn the heating on or change the temp in the room.

Enjoyable and will definitely stay again

The staff were very nice and welcoming and a good atmosphere in the pub. The room was spacious and comfortable well worth the money and not much outside noise even though I was above the Main Street. Excellent breakfast that set me up for the day. Good pint of Guinness 👍

I would have dined had they done evening meals but understand there wasn’t a great demand for food.

Disappointing.

The breakfast was well cooked.

Opposite the building are multiple pubs and bars that has extremely loud music and karaoke (horrific singing) until midnight making it impossible to relax or sleep. The shower had black mould in it and the room did not feel super clean. The staff were nice but needed prompting to do things and did not have a super welcoming atmosphere. Pretty disappointing in all honesty.

brilliant

when i booked it i didn’t think it was going to be good but it was absolutely lovely! the rooms are spacious and look nice. i booked it because we was at a wedding not far from there so i thought it was just a bed but i’d stay here again if i’m ever in the area and the breakfast was just what we needed!!

the shower didn’t stay hot it kept going hot and cold and it’s electric so didn’t make sense.

I feel that the price did not reflect the accommodation and we were slightly disappointed.

The bar staff were so lovely and welcoming. The beds were comfortable.

The bedroom - there was damp in several areas, especially at the side of the wardrobe. The carpets were old and stained. The bedroom was right next to the main road and was in close proximity to several other bars which had loud music til 12 at night. (This is obviously a great place for younger clientele) and the room shook when wagons went past. The bathroom - there was mould in the shower and the pressure was exceptionally low. The bar - needs a good refurb. The chairs were stained, the floors had holes in the carpet (where there had been a leak in the ceiling). There was a problem with the remote needing batteries. I reported it and after 3/4 of an hour had to go back downstairs. The remote was left behind the counter and nobody had sorted out the batteries. They had to go to the shop to get some more.

Disappointing and over priced due to its general run down state.

Its location

The shower tray was cracked and therefore leaked . The underneath of the toilet seat was yellow and disgusting the shower did not work properly due to water pressure . You stuck to shower room floor and it all needed a deep clean and re decoration .the breakfast was poor bacon was not cooked properly and had been left in the initial cooked off state covered in white watery fat and was Luke warm . Mushrooms were over cooked and Luke warm as were the hash browns . The dining area was in need of a full refurb and all the tables needed replacing .

The location for Whalley, and where we were attending a wedding was good. Parking onside was good

Dirty rooms, dirty facilities. I don't think cleaning was a priority. Bathroom filthy, dog's ball under the bed, crisps in the bedside cabinet, dirty carpets.at breakfast the tables where sticky, food on the floor from the night before....

The breakfast was ok

Everything...to start with it didn't look anything like the pictures...stains on carpets, divan bad base and headboard...room was full of cobwebs, the bathroom had black mould around the shower and the toilet seat had discoloured from a white to a yellow colour, doesn't look like toilet had been cleaned and toilet brush was black..bed was uncomfortable with large lumps in middle of bed and because it was on main road with lots of bars it didn't go quiet untill around 4am..couldn't close window as it was so warm with no fan...myself and wife burnt ourselves on towel rail in bathroom it felt cold to touch but was scalding hot near bottom of rail which burnt our legs when we sat on toilet no way to turn it off even though it seemed off I nearly got boiled to death in the shower it was an electric shower but kept jumping from ice cold to scolding hot so had to keep standing out but them feel were burning be careful if you want to stay here..we even contemplated going home during the night it was that bad..hotel was full of dust also and lightbulbs were out in the corridor

Good stay central location

Central location. Lovely Staff.

Our room was on the front right on the main road. The rooms were very warm so needed window open. Unfortunately in the evening there was a lot of noise from people emptying out of pubs. In the morning lots of traffic and very noisy
