Lovisenborg Brygge

Persoonallisin ja sympaattisin majapaikka Norjassa, jossa olemme majoittuneet. Miellyttävä ja erittäin hyvin toimiva sisustus ja varustus. Pikkukajavien elämää saattoi seurata läheltä, ja nyt niiden joukossa oli myös riskilöitä. Kova etelätuuli hieman ravisutti osittain laiturin päällä olevaa erikoisen kapeaa taloa. Talon historiasta ja remonttivaiheista oli kuvia ja kuvakirja, kirjahyllyssä mm. hienoja norjalaisia valokuvakirjoja. Kongsfjord sijaitsee kauniilla paikalla ja läheinen Veidnesin niemi on upea retkikohde niin maisemien, lintujen seurannan kuin toisen maailmansodan jälkien tutkimisenkin kannalta. Kongsfjordissa asuu noin 35 vakituista asukasta ja kalastustoiminnan hiipumisen merkkejä näkyy kaikkialla. Tie Kongsfjordista Berlevågiin kulkee dramaattisen hienossa rantamaisemassa.

Sijainti oli viehättävä, ja itse talo oli kaikin puolin niin tyylikkäästi sisustettu.

This will probably be the most instagramable place you stay all year. Beautiful whiteboard house on a pier overlooking the fjord. The pier itself is covered in kittiwakes and great for birdwatching. Very stylish, light filled interior. We were there in midsummer but I imagine it would also be very cosy in winter. Good well stocked kitchen with lots of pans and utensils but also basic ingredients like spices etc. Good bathroom. This place was rebuilt by two families and is a real labour of love. A lovely place to spend a few days exploring the surrounding area.

A few people have mentioned the stairs. They’re steep but if you’re reasonably fit, they shouldn’t be a problem. I’ve stayed in places with far steeper steps. However, it was odd that there was no storage space at all in the bedrooms. The main bedroom had a huge dresser in it which was entirely taken up with random objects - pots of paint, Christmas decorations, screwdrivers. The second bedroom appeared to be the same. There was also no hairdryer available. Given that, even in summer, it was abut 8 degrees, this again seemed a bit odd.

Sehr charmant renoviertes Häuschen direkt auf einem Steg über dem Wasser. Alle nötigen Dinge waren vorhanden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefüllt.

Die Treppe zu den Schlafräumen ist sehr steil
