これは最悪とかんじたのが、お風呂の換気扇が故障していて、熱気がこもって最悪でした、至急修理すべきでは！ せっかくの評価が下がります。

Good location. Bedroom serving its purpose.

The staff was uneasy because I am not Japanese. I understand that to begin with there isn't many foreigners in Yamagata, and with Covid even less. But I have been living in Japan for several years and I do speak Japanese. When at the breakfast, the person taking the coupon just took it and didn't say anything to me. To the next customers, Japanese, she explained the breakfast, where everything is and what to do when finished. When I asked another staff a question in Japanese, she started to answer and then stopped to asked me if I understand Japanese.. I was a bit tiring. From a local shop, I may understand these reactions, but not from a hotel.
