Coco de Mer Hotel and Black Parrot Suites

This hotel and it staff are amazing. Loved the place. Its layout and the views with the island going into the sea was spectacular. I want to stay again.

Although it was on the pricey side it was worth it.

We had the most relaxing time here. The property is simply stunning. When we arrived we decided we’d like to upgrade to the black parrot suites as we were staying for our honeymoon we thought why not make it more special. The staff were very kind to show us around to the suites before making the decision and let us pick between two rooms. We got a discounted rate and felt it was well worth the extra. The suites are a private area of the property where you have a separate pool and bar. The rooms were amazing with a spacious balcony spanning the most spectacular view of the mountains and ocean. We loved watching the sunset here every evening. We enjoyed the bath and the outdoor shower was a treat. The rooms were modern and spotlessly cleaned everyday. We will had access to the facilities at coco de mer and enjoyed the infinity pool and lunch & cocktails at mango bar. Which we found very reasonably and fairly priced compared to prices in Mahé. We had half board, so had the breakfast and dinner buffet included in our rate. Breakfast was really tasty and varied every day, the freshly made omelettes were wonderful. The dinner was varied every night too. Staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We enjoyed the live music on Friday night, it created a lovely atmosphere. We didn’t venture out too much as this was the relaxing part of our honeymoon in the Seychelles. We did go to Anse Lazio which is a 30 minute drive from the hotel. We had a rental car, but the hotel runs a regular shuttle to the beach free of charge. We also did the Valles De Mai nature reserve which is only 10 minutes up the road. We enjoyed a tour here. The hotel offer free stand up padel boarding and water sports. We rented snorkel equipment from them to take to Anse Lazio with us. It’s in a quieter area of the island but we loved this. You wouldn’t need to venture far as the hotel has everything you need.

Experienced some wifi connection issues on the last day, but this was very minor and not something to put us off.

The property was beautiful. The area outside the rooms where one can just sit for hours reading a book - amazing! The staff deserves a special mention for genuinely being extremely sweet and helpful through our stay The breakfast buffet was really good. Not only was there a wide spread, the food tasted real good Location wise, the property is quite easy to find and get to

The room was not great. There are two issue I had with it. One minor and the other major. Minor - it was really dark. The way its been designed, there is barely any natural light allowed into the room Major - WHY do establishments think it is ok to have an open bathroom. How is that romantic? Not only was the bath-tub area open, the WC was part open as well. That meant that we could hear each other using the WC and worse, the smell would take over the room and linger! This was attrocious. It destroyed our nights at the property I would have happily rated this property a 8/10 but am downgrading it to a 6/10 just because of the bathroom situation
