Cielo Boutique Hotel & Spa Samui

The property was beautiful everywhere you looked. Beautifully designed 2 bedroom pool villa. The team were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious with fantastic views over the beach and sea to Koh Phangan. The facial I had with Pan was out of this world and has spoiled me for all other facials going forward! I raved so much about it my husband and daughter booked in too!!

Nothing - everything was superb!! Understated and elegant paradise on the outskirts of fisherman’s village. The beds were divine too!!

Absolutely loved our stay at Cielo. We booked the Suite Simple Deluxe room with private pool which was perfect, pool was absolutely needed in the afternoons! Staff were super friendly, and helpful. Rooms were so spacious and the air con worked really well. Loved that there was a turndown service. Breakfast was always quick and tasty, and we liked that we were in walking distance to the Fisherman's Village. Also highly recommend Izzy's coffee just down the road. Also best massage I had on the trip there!

Location is good - close to fisherman’s village and right on the beach (the beach is just ok (sand is rough and water is not clear) but that is not in the control of the hotel). The staff were lovely and accommodating. Small resort which offers classes.

I would say the hotel is not value for money. The room is spacious but as with other reviewers there is limited privacy without closing curtains due to the low gate height (there aren’t many people in the resort but the pathway is also used by restaurant guests so worth noting this). This is more of a beach club with music playing at all times than a hotel and spa- the main attraction is the pool and access to beach. I would not come here for wellness. There is no communal area, the only space is the restaurant so limited space (with ac) outside of the room or the pool. Room cleaning staff appear to be short staffed- sometimes the room is not cleaned until early evening which can be difficult as above there is no communal space outside of the room. The locks were fixed during the stay but the marks left on the window were not cleaned, screws left in the room and at several occasions the cleaning team left the door unlocked (see above re access to property for restaurant guests). Rooms are not soundproof you can hear when people in the next rooms if they are having a shower or listening to music. If you are staying for more than 4 days the breakfast will be repetitive - would be better with a partial buffet or wider options on the menu. These are all issues which I wouldn’t expect for the price I paid. I think there is better options which are cheaper on the same road- see Anantara or Hansar.
