worse 4 stars hotel experience

Hotel facilities (spa and wellness area) were the reason why I booked the hotel for my family and we did enjoy using the facilities there. Indoor pool, outdoor pool and Sauna area is nice and very clean.

For a 4 star hotel and the price tag that goes with it, I expected at least decent Service. Unfortunately we experienced, on several occasions, very poor almost rude service from the Staff. In our room we did not have a hairdryer and there were no coffee machine or water kettle for hot water. My husband asked a staff member for hot water and he was told to buy it at the bar. I went back to the room to called the front desk to ask for water kettle and was told that they were out of it and was asked why I even need hot water. They did bring us hot water in the end, but the whole experience made us rather uncomfortable. Before arrival, we made reservation for dinner at the hotel Restaurant and was told that they serve only 4 course menu . After arrival they told us they only offer buffet for the night. The buffet was served at two different time. (6pm and 8 pm) Because my husband was playing golf, we then reserved a table for later time. The food quality was below expectation, as vegetarian I had little options. My husband had fish and chicken and found them to be over dried and rubber band like. When we complained to reception, they asked which time we had our buffet and claimed that it shouldn't be so with no apology. Since we didn't book our rooms with meal, we paid the buffet in full, our son 11 years old was also charged full adult price. The food quality did not justify the price they charged. On top of all, the unapologetic attitude from the staff made me wonder if this hotel deserved its 4 stars. Regarding the golf course, my husband did not enjoy his game because all the green at most of the holes had rough patches. His flight partner, a club member said the greens are so bad at the moment that a EDS round is not available. As guest player, the club should at least inform people before booking. We would not come back again and could not recommend to anyone.

Ich vermisse die Freundlichkeit & Herzlichkeit beim ein,- / aus-checken & mittags im Restaurant….neuerdings wird man dort nur noch „abgewickelt“.
