Such a shame because on paper, this should be the perfect spot complete with private beach (which is very small but sufficient) & pool options. The 24 hour room service sounds great but options are limited. Restaurant is great but service is super slow & we had mix ups pretty much each night.
Biggest issue was requests before stay being ignored, particularly for room type ie sea view. We - after a long flight - found ourselves in a room looking into a bush along the entrance driveway. We had a 7 night booking. We had it corrected to the sea view but had also explicitly mentioned needing a quiet room away from any noise eg lift/elevator banks. We were put literally next door to the bar which was open terrace so everyone and the bar music were very audible till past midnight. Again, mentioned in emails and flagged on arrival etc but took till our 2nd last night for someone to come & offer a room change after I was up till 3am due to music and a faulty speaker outside our room.
Generally great team but follow through is lacking. Takes several asks to get the simplest thing done. Didn’t feel like 5 star and certainly not Africa standard of 5 star which is normally more like 8 star because we do hospitality so well in Africa. We travel frequently and this was a disappointing stay. Simple things like an iron in the room weren’t available and you had to try and get one from housekeeping who only had a few steamers. The only option? PAY for your clothes to be ironed!
Despite the catalogue of issues we experienced including the room being set up for one even though I had my son with me, took a few attempts to get the additional robe and towels. Also to correct my name on the screen.
There was no gesture of goodwill on settling the bill. No acknowledgement of the many issues. Not even an offer to discount anything; no invitation to have a massage on the house. Nothing.
Really poor and only exhaustion stopped us moving to Noom down the road.

Resort offers a fantastic beachfront location with stunning ocean views. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, and the private beach adds to the luxury. The food is good, though menu is limited and the service can be slow at times. Overall, a great choice for a relaxing stay in Dakar!
