About this villa rental

This lovely 4 bedroom 3 bathroom villa is situated a mere 15 minutes walk from the lively Provençal village of Flayosc, a traditional hilltop village known as the gateway to the Haut Var. The villa, which is fully air conditioned and has its own heated pool, is private and spacious offering comfortable open plan ground floor living accommodation. Two bedrooms and shower rooms are at ground floor level offering ideal accommodation for those with limited mobility. The delightful, mature gardens offer a variety of spaces to relax in and enjoy. There is an outdoor sitting room with comfortable sofas, under the shade of a covered pergola. It’s a great spot for a sundowner. There is a gas barbecue, and on a south facing terrace adjacent to the house there is a large dining table with seating for 8+ people, again with a covered pergola for shade in summer. There is a further south facing terrace outside of the kitchen/dining area. Pretty sets of tables, chairs and loungers around the property offer different perspectives to enjoy the garden and villa in sunshine and shade throughout the day. The heated swimming pool, with security fencing, is 8 x 4m and is for the exclusive use of the villa. Loungers are provided on the pool terrace. Mature shrubs and hedges give privacy. There is a boules pitch for that essential game of boules, and a set of boules is provided. The garden is enclosed and mainly on one level. The gardens are planted with mature shrubs and small trees offering shade and privacy. Flayosc is ideally situated only 30 minutes from the A8 autoroute, about 1 hour's drive from Nice and halfway between the Mediterranean and the Gorges du Verdon. There is much to do here - walking in the countryside through vineyards and olive groves; sampling the local wines (lots of good domaines around Lorgues and Les Arcs), and enjoying fresh produce from the colourful markets; visiting the many characterful villages and towns in the area; as well as a number of places of historic interest. The former railway track nearby is ideal for cycling and walking, and now forms part of the EuroVelo cycling track

We had a lovely stay here during the last 2 weeks in August. Lovely house, had everything we needed for a family of 6 with 3 teenagers aged 13, 14 and 16 and one child aged 11. Flayosc is a nice town and the area is beautiful with plenty to see/do not too far away. The pool was great and the sheltered seating areas too.

Lovely house, pool and surroundings! Perfect for two families with children, as there are two (or actually three) separate sleeping areas with their own bathroom. Had some problems with the dishwasher, which needs to be fixed or replaced. Judith (manager) was very helpful. Overall a very lovely holiday in La Belugue - would definitely come back another time!

My husband and I visited for a week in May with our children, aged 6 and 8, and our parents. The house was the perfect size, with very comfortable beds and three bathrooms between the 7 of us. The highlight had to be the pool, which was lovely and big, a good temperature and well equipped with pool toys, sun beds and umbrellas.The child gate was a great safety feature.Several outdoor seating areas with plenty of space in the shade meant we ate almost every meal outside in the beautiful weather. Despite the heat the house stayed cool and was equipped with air conditioning units.The house had everything we needed to cook, as well as plenty of books, DVDs, leaflets for local attractions and toys/games. We enjoyed using the boules set!Flayosc village centre is walkable from the house, although there is also a free car park for a quicker trip to the shops. We loved the market on Monday morning, and bought delicious fresh pastries every morning from one or other of the boulangeries. We also ate delicious meals at both Cafe du Midi and another local restaurant in the town square.For days out, we enjoyed visiting les Grottes de Villecroze (troglodytes caves, waterfall and a playground), l'Abbey de Thoronet (with a nice gift shop) and a walk around Chateaudouble with incredible views down the gorge.Travelling down to Flayosc was an adventure. After getting the Eurostar to Paris, we slept on the night train, arriving in Toulon then hiring a car. 1 hour ish to Flayosc.

We loved everything in the villa, the pool was perfect, the air conditioning was working fine, the outside has everything you need to relax. And the villa is walking distance form Flayosc, with its market and the nice little shop. We really enjoyed our stay, and Judith helped us in everything, with good suggestion e tips and tricks to make our holiday here something to remember.

The villa had everything we needed and the gardens were so relaxing with multiple well thought out seating areas and the wonderful pool. Well located for exploring some new areas as well as revisiting some of our old haunts by the coast. Judith was so helpful with local suggestions and made this stay so easy for us - thank you !

Lovely villa in suburbs of Flysoc. 10-15minute walk or an easy 5 minute drive. Great pool and the house is really well set up, well thought out and easy to use. The host was great - friendly and really helpful and all of us agreed we would come back here.

A well-appointed and spacious villa with extensive outside facilities

We are 4 active pensioners who enjoy visiting places of interest on holiday, and Flayosc proved to be a great location. Each day of our 2-week stay was hot and sunny, so we appreciated the patio doors in both kitchen and lounge during the day, and the air-conditioning at night. Our days began with a trip to the boulangerie in Flayosc, followed by a drive to a village, or place of historic or geological importance. We would return for a late lunch on the covered verandah, chill for an hour or so, before taking to the pool for a relaxing swim. Evening meals were prepared using the gas BBQ located just outside the kitchen. Flayosc is just a 15 mins stroll, and we sampled 3 excellent restaurants in the evening, La Cigalon, La Fleur de Thym and Le Nid. The market on Monday morning is worth a visit for fresh produce, but we mainly shopped at Carrefour in Draguignan which was a 15 mins drive. The holiday would not be complete without a superb scenic drive along the Gorge du Verdon via Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, and a boat trip from Ste-Maxime to St-Tropez on Les Bateaux Verts. Why not take the 45 mins ride that visits the Bay of Canoubiers where the mega-rich reside. In summary the villa provided everything we required, and Judith could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The only challenge we faced was from the mosquitos which took a particular liking to 2 of our party. As you would expect, there was a choice of repellents available. In summary, we had a most enjoyable holiday and the villa rating is fully justified.

Large pool, great outdoor areas, comfortable accommodation with all mod cons and very well equipped. Local town good and only 20 min walk. Need to drive but can reach a lot of different areas in 1hr - 1.5hr (distances not far but roads quite windy). We did Cannes, Nice, St.Tropez, Gorge du Verdon and much more.

Had a great 2 weeks at La Belugue. All the facilities you could need for a great holiday. Fantastic pool which the children loved and spent hours in most days. Lovely terrace to sit on for lunch/dinner and plenty of seating areas around the Villa to avoid the sun. Nice new seating area which we used a lost in the evenings. Torn between spending time at the Villa and getting out and about and seeing some of the sights. The Village of Flayosc is only a short walk away and has a variety of shops and restaurants with a market on Monday mornings. Judith was very helpful and booked a restaurant at Chateaudouble (La Tour). Lovely scenic drive and great views from the terrace of the restaurant along with a great meal. A must is a trip to the Verdon Gorge - fantastic views but be careful if you don't like heights !!. We arranged a rafting trip on the Verdon river but you do need to book in advance. Overall a terrific couple of weeks

We have had a fantastic 3 weeks in this great house. We were a family of 6 including 2 young children and 2 grandparents. It had all the facilities that we could possibly need as advertised. The house is well maintained with properly sealed pvc double glazing all round. All rooms were air conditioned and this was needed as it was a hot summer. Full UK television which doesn't usually bother us however it was the World Cup this year. The stroll into town took about 20 minutes with our 5 year old which was not a problem, just take a torch for the way back as the villa road has no street lighting. The pool heating made a huge difference. We stayed somewhere else in Flayosc last year and the pool there was turning our daughters lips blue. This year both girls spent most days playing in it. The only very slight criticism is that it would be nice to get the pool professionally cleaned every week or buy a swimming pool hoover. The water was clean and a net provided (and brushes) but the pool floor got very dirty with dead ants and detritis from the trees. It took half an hour each day to try and scrape up this debris with the net and I couldn't clean up all the dirt particles with it. Judith and Keith were very helpful and friendly as was the lady who came to water the garden. I fully recommend the house and we hope to return one day for another visit to Flayosc. Lovely quiet villa set in nice gardens with pool. Very spacious and ideal for large families although equally as good for small groups who like some space. Judith and Kieth very helpful if you need any advice or help. For convenience a gas BBQ would have been nice instead of charcoal. Pool area very good with plenty of lounges and shade if needed. We had a lovely 2 weeks at La Belugue 8-22/07/2017. The villa is in Flayosc 1h15min drive from Nice airport. It is very private and the pool is lovely. Well furnished indoors with a lovely outdoor sitting area and garden. The description and the photos fall short in describing the villa and its amenities. The walk to the village is 10-15 min. We loved the 2 Boulangerie's, the deli, and weekly monday market in the village. Restaurants in the village are good too. Lovely meal at "Le Nid" one evening. Fresh croissants and baguettes are delicious. Visits to nearlby provencal villages were also a highlight Villecroze, Cotignac etc. Driving to the coast Antibes, Il de Porquerolles, Verdon gorge was a 60-90 min journey but worthwhile. The caretaker Judith was very helpful and very friendly. Overall a very lovely family holiday!! Kallat family Edinburgh UK

Judith was extremely helpful and efficient at solving minor issues for us making our stay extremely easy and relaxing.Flayosc and surrounding area was quiet and seemed fairly untouristy - would definitely recommend to anyone seeking a quiet relaxing break.

We stayed a week in this comfortable cottage in Flayosc. Quiet location but easily walking distance into the village which has a small but perfectly adequate range of shops, couple of the essential bakeries, small village square with a couple of restaurants. The accommodation was clean and the kitchen well equipped. Wifi and english digital TV were a great advantage. Pool is a good size but there are quite a lot of large ants around which find themselves joining you in the pool - so kids were useful to clean it out on a regular basis. Lots of places to eat outside the property - the shade was welcome as it was really hot the week we were there. We went to St Tropez on the boat from Port Grimaud (which is a lovely place) - took about an hour to get there but worth the drive. Beware the windy roads and go to Tourtour - absolutely beautiful. Salernes market on a Sunday is a must - a real French market - not that many tourists with some fabulous food on offer rather than lots of dodgy handbags. We didn't eat out while we were there but the recommendations in the book in the cottage give some good ideas of where to try.

This is a lovely, comfortable and very well equipped house on the edge of a typical village. Both inside and outside the house has great areas for relaxing with the added advantage of a good sized pool. The couple who manage the property are close by and very helpful. The village has everything you need with a selection of cafes and restaurants and there is plenty to visit in the area if you are prepared to drive.

La Bélugue is a pleasant villa on the outskirts of the village of Flayosc, quietly situated at the end of a cul-de-sac. It is well appointed and well equipped with all that you could need for a perfect holiday in the Dracénie region, and it is ideally located to visit the whole region. We were met by Judith, who manages the property and a few others in the area, and she showed us over the property and explained all the details of the house and the garden, including the lovely pool. On a couple of occasions when minor problems arose Judith responded immediately and sorted them out in short order, and was a friendly source of useful information about the area. The villa has an excellent air conditioning system and the furnishings are tasteful and comfortable. The garden is planted with trees and shrubs, and the pool is elegantly shaped and surrounded by more trees and shrubs inside a good safety fence. The area is full of interesting places to visit, including bastide towns, local markets and the magnificent scenery of the Gorges du Verdun. The city of Nice is reachable by train from the nearby town of Les Arcs, and St Tropez can be visited by driving to St Maxime and taking the frequent ferry service across the bay. (Do not even think of driving there!) Overall this was an excellent property, in an attractive region of southern France.

Cette résidence est encore mieux que sur les photos puisque les chambres ont été récemment rénovées et que la maison dispose en tout de 3 salles de bain, avec chacune ses toilettes. L'extérieur de la maison est très agréable et propose toutes les commodités nécessaires à un beau séjour. De plus la villa est simple à trouver et se trouve dans une région superbe, entre les Gorges du Verdon et les plages du Sud.

Superbe villa au calme, bien équipée, agréable piscine protégée par une barrière empêchant l'accès aux enfants en bas âge. Dommage qu'il n'y ai aucune chaîne française à la télé, que des chaines anglaises ... Nous avons passé 2 semaines de vacances très agréables et espérons y revenir.
