Hostel Park Iguazu

Where is the shuttle service offered in their website? Nowhere: we have to pay for transportation. Where were the room towels, soap? Nowhere: you have to rent them! Pots and pans for cooking for 12 people? Nope. Silverware? We have to ask for it. Add to this the presence of 10/15 other guests. Breakfast included! Oops… if you eat sweet pies and or cakes in the morning you’ll fine. Otherwise, tough luck. We stayed for five days and the cleaning person showed up… not once. But you can eat sweet pies instead.

Great location easy walk into town centre and close to bus station. Everyone very friendly and so helpful re money exchange, tickets for the waterfalls, where to go and what to see.

The shower was cold ~ refreshing and a surprise! Breakfast was only carbs ~ the custard pastry was delicious!

the presentation of the hostel itself wasn’t very pretty. problems with air condition, people in the pool without taking a shower first and

- Very clean hostel with nice swimming pool - Helpful and friendly staff - Good location, very close to bus terminal and in quiet area - Clean and spacious bedroom with private bathroom. - Simple but good breakfast (coffee, milk, tea with jam, butter, bread and cakes) - Good wifi everywhere - Indoor tennis table (although the rackets could be replaced) - Cute dog and nice cats hanging around - Possible to store luggage after check-out

- Bad surprise at check-in : payment was requested by reception despite what is written on Booking that pre-payment of total amount will be done on my credit card used for reservation (no pre-payment was done indeed). At reception, if you pay by credit card OR in cash in Argentinian Pesos, they add the 21% tax that is exempted when paying with foreign credit card (that is what is written on Booking). The ONLY way to not pay the 21% tax is to pay in CASH is USD (dollars). Staff was actually helpful as they told us we can change our pesos into dollars in town and pay later, which is what we did, so in the end we paid the amount in USD as indicated on our reservation. I don't know if that's a common practice in Iguazu but we told them that they must inform the clients about this rule before they arrive... but as I can see old reviews with same issue, I'm not sure they want to change anything ☹️ - Our room was far from the hot water tank so we had to let the water run for several minutes before the hot water came in the shower.
