An unexpected but lovely stay

Our room was for 3 with an extra bed which made it a little tight but it was a 2 night stay so that was fine. What was great was the beds. Our son in the extra bed loved how comfortable it was. We also found our bed and mattress excellent - a perfect bed and mattress are rare in any hotel. The shower was great - non slip, quite big and with good sliding doors - no leaking - a good shower head and plenty of hot water. But it was the restaurant that we specially loved. It was marvellous with delicious meals from local produce and what we assumed were traditional recipes. The wines were lovely. We stayed there only because of a problem with our car meant we had to find somewhere to stay - but have already discussed returning there again in better weather as there was a nice outside terrace and glorious views as well, that we couldn't enjoy in the cold and rain. Finally, everyone in the hotel was kind and helpful.

Lovely location

Love the location. Bathroom clean and shower wonderful.

Given a triple room instead of a double so not much room to move around. TV faced the single bed. 0 Room was very cold when we arrived late afternoon. Turned radiator to max but still just warm. The wall heater in bathroom was efficient but on a 15 minute timer so we kept turning it on to heat the bedroom too! No staff at breakfast. Tables not cleared. Choice of cereals- only cornflakes.

Usually great but now we have a question in our minds whether to stay there again

we have stayed here many times and always happy with service, room, evening food and location for our needs. This time was the same ..we were happy again except for one thing.

Only one thing. We were charged for breakfast we didn’t have. I have queried this directly with the hotel 3 times and also via our booking through you. No reply.

Free parking, pet friendly and nice terrasse. New floors to accommodate pets. The restaurant is good and most staff are friendly and like pets.

It is more dated then the pictures suggest. The pool was small and the terrasse interconected.

Country Hotel Near Dole

Nice location and probably a good place to stay in the summer with good outside seating. The personnel were polite and wanted to speak English even though I spoke French to them. Extra TV channels with sports and movies was a surprise. Air conditioning was available but not needed in January.

The bed felt like it had a foam mattress. Yuk! The pillow was small and could have been much firmer. Not a great nights sleep unfortunately. The shower was good but the water temperature was tepid. Please make the shower temperature higher. It was only just about tolerable! No kettle in the room, why? Your guests should be able to have a drink, not only at the bar or restaurant! No vegetarian option for dinner but I guess that's often the case in France.

Very good

Location haven of peace on a hill with great panoramic views, with open terraces to sit with a drink and enjoy them. Very good restaurant and good, friendly service, love Jura cuisine and wines! Will be adding to our list to revisit for overnight or longer to explore many good walks in the Dole area.

The location is amazing, the hotel comfortable and clean and the staff in general very friendly. Apart from an initial mix up with the room everything went well. The food at dinner was also exceptional and breakfast satisfactory. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

It's a shame that breakfast was not included in the room price. The location of our room was not ideal. It was quite dark and facing out to the back of the building with access to a public terrasse. A room with a view and private balcony would have been preferred. We would also have appreciated a hospitality tray in the room for tea and coffee preparation.

Friendly staff, comfortable accommodation and delicious food

The welcome when we arrived was lovely and friendly. The room was a little dated but this didn't matter at all....we had a family room which was actually 2 rooms so our children had their own beds in an adjoining room....which was brilliant. It was spotlessly clean too. We had dinner in the restaurant which was fantastic and again the staff were super friendly. Breakfast was delicious and very generous too.

Good overnight stay.

Location is very nice on top of a hill, just outside a sanctuary. 4.5 km from Dole (very pretty) ideal stop when travelling from Uk to Italy/south of France. Room was dated but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. Dinner at the hotel was a nice surprise, very good food.

Lots of full ashtrays everywhere, not nice at all! Toilet and shower room separate. Travelling during a pandemic, I was expecting stricter measures anti Covid (like tables distance from each other). However as I don't know the French rules on the matter,the hotel may have been following them to the letter. Lots of wasps everywhere, we couldn't eat outside! (not hotel's fault, of course).

Exceptionnel !!

Situation exceptionnelle dans la verdure et au calme, à seulement 4 km du centre-ville de Dole. Personnel très sympathique. Chambre agréable, excellente literie. Tres bon restaurant et très bon petit-déjeuner varié. Nous recommandons absolument !

Le brouillard, mais ce n'était pas la faute de l'hôtel :-))) !!
