Really lovely house with comfy beds and kind owners, will come again

I loved the location and the the beautiful old house, it was atmospheric and peaceful, beds were comfy and the shower was great.

We had a great stay, only minor point- soap in the bathroom and a more well appointed tea and coffee tray would have been nice .

A beautiful house in a great location, but with paper-thin walls

We absolutely loved the charming character of this beautiful old house. The location is perfect, nestled in a very picturesque and quiet environment. It was also very convenient for exploring the nearby town of La Roche-en-Ardenne and the scenic surroundings.

Unfortunately, the communication with the landlord could have been more reliable and proactive. The biggest issue for us was the noise level inside the house; the walls are incredibly thin, and you can hear everything from the other rooms, which made it difficult to relax.

OK for a night or two but overall too expensive given the quality and service

Communication with staff (Marvin) was good but could have been more effective. The hotel did not provide breakfast but offered vouchers for partner restaurants / bakerys nearby. This was communicated via E-Mail. When we arrived it turned out that the vouchers consisted only in a 10% discount on the normal price. If we had known this beforehand, we probably would have changed our booking.

When we arrived it seemed that the hotel had just reopend after the winter break. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom and no soap in the shower. Moreover, the window was damaged and could not be opened. Thus it was unfortunately not possible to ventilate the room. Finally, we discovered an extra cushion in the cupboard with (apparently) blood stains on it.

Ok for one good night sleep

Very comfortable bed and cosy room. Several messages were sent by the hosts to provide information and welcoming.

To enter the property, we should insert a code to open the gate, that didn't work for a while and we couldn't get in touch with the hosts to get some help, the phone number provided doesn't work. The bedroom is cosy and comfortable but we could hear everything! in the other rooms. In the end it was very quiet and we could sleep very well but no privacy...

Clastrophobic that the only Window was in the roof. They didnt meet us on site and made us pay through bank transfer afterwards. if done through booking.com we would have to pay extra 20%. Felt unsafe to transfer money to unknown person in another country without any garanteree for any of us. And rather inconvenient. I know it was extraordinary circumstances but it should not be made our problem.

Perfect for outdoorsy couple looking for a week-end escape.

The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. For example, the owner could not be there to check us in in person. So, instead, she apologized, texted us and told us what to do. She also attends breakfast and makes sure we are all at home. The location is great for hikes, which is what we came here for. Safe parking lot. At no point were we worried. The B&B is a renovated ancient house. Gorgeous. The beds are very comfy. There is a kitchen for the customers and a coffee maker, ideal for early birds like us who run on caffeine. As for the breakfast, it was very filling. The bread is out of this world. The owner also runs a bakery and if we were living here, we would totally patron them (they don't pay us to say this ;) just give it a try, they are located in La Roche on the main square).

We realized too late that we better get the heating unit go all night. We had turned it off for the night because we didn't want it to run when we were asleep and we don't mind a fresh bedroom. But two breathing humans + a crisp bedroom = humidity build up. We of course opened the window in the morning, but I figure an extractor would help. As you can see, I scratched my head to find something I didn't like.

Breakfast was amazing! Room was clean. The area is quiet and you can find nice walking routes around. The staff is really kind and helpful.

The only thing was that shower was a bath without curtain. Floor was wet after every shower.

The room was quite nice and well furnished. However, in our room we had a sort of open bathroom. Personally I'm not a big fan.

Nice place and lovely host

Very nice B&B in a good location. The room was cozy and the bed and pillows comfortable. We loved the fireplace! We had breakfast one of the 2 days and it was quite good. The host was lovely, always ready to help! We will definitely go back.

We had to keep the curtains of the bedroom closed most of the time cause anyone can see the room from the parking. Not a big deal anyway! The view from the bathroom was instead beautiful :)
