The room was lovely, it was a pleasure to experience this kind of traditional stay in Japan. The food was incredible, they catered for us being vegetarian and provided lots of delicious food. The private onsen was amazing too, and the host was very kind and friendly!

Ruime en schone kamer. Heel vriendelijk personeel en prettige openbare onsen.
Het eten was fantastisch. Boek zeker het diner erbij. Wij hebben er enorm van genoten.
De privé onsen leek al een tijd niet schoon te zijn gemaakt. Er zat veel alg op het hout en het water leek ook wat viezig.

This was the best experience we had in Japan. Beautiful traditional stay with very good food. I don’t eat meat and the hosts were too kind to change the meal for me. The onsen was also very nice. If you would like to experience a traditional style stay, I would recommend booking Ryokan Tanaka. Also, the environment is beautiful there!

The service was warm and friendly. The food was good and the ingredients were of good quality. The bedding was clean and the room was warm.
The room and facilities had parts that were really worn down, from chipped teapots, stained curtains to grungy bath sinks, and it made the stay kind of depressing.
