Designed for large groups to comfortably interact in a variety of spaces with 8 private bedrooms (which includes a self contained studio efficiency) There are 2 Pak-n-Plays and 2 highchairs for our young guests. There are 3 kitchens, 2 dining areas, a deck and patio with gas and charcoal grills/griddles for your use. There are 2 full sets of washers/dryers. We had an amazing time, location was perfect less than 1.5 miles from the jet express, so we walked over there. The friendship station next door is perfect if you haven’t tried the chicken there you are missing out! Would definitely come back in the future.

Stayed here for a wedding with 13 of our friends! It’s a great location, right next to a 24 hour liquor/convenience store that also sells the best fried chicken! 5 mins away from the ferry to get to Put In Bay, walking distance to a Mcdonald’s. The host is very nice, communicates well, and easy to get a hold of. They even laid out cornholes for us for when we got back from the wedding. Big space for everyone to hang out, lots of board games to choose from. Would stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at Sheryls home and she was very communicative. She made sure everything was set and provided a method of contact. The house was spacious and clean. A 2-minute drive to the beach and a 5-minute drive to the ferry.

This property was perfect for our large family! 8 bedrooms offered everyone their own bed and private bedroom instead of having to use a bunch of couches and pull out couches. The in-law suit was perfect for the young couple and their baby. Plenty of bathrooms. The two kitchens were very well stocked as was the rest of the house. There was nothing we were lacking. Very clean property Great location, too. Close to the beaches and lots to do in the area. Host was wonderful! Very responsive and nice to work with. Highly recommended this property

Place came with so many extras..a fully stocked kitchen, bathroom, 2 outdoor gas grills, 1 charcoal grill, and one outdoor griddle, yard games, sand toys, beach chairs. Don't let the location behind the gas station keep you from renting this. Also, the free use of the pool at the 1812 bar was so much fun. Perfect for our family! Sheryl was always quick to respond to my calls and texts! A+++

The property was fine for our group. Proximity to Cedar Point was key for the teens in the group. Lake Erie was a new venue for all of us. We were able to enjoy the Port Clinton City Beach, the community pool, charter fishing for walleye in Lake Erie followed by grilling fresh fish for all was a group highlight. The "city" setting was a different experience for us. Kids had to be driven to venues, and were unable to just "walk to the beach."

This was an amazing time away with my 4 adult children, their spouses, and 12 grandkids (ranging in age from 15 months to 20 years). There was enough room for everyone to feel comfortable yet be together and create such wonderful memories! Everything you need and more is on site for a relaxing time away. I really appreciated the communication with our host, Sheryl, as she periodically text just to make sure all was well! We were a bit hesitant at first because it is directly behind a gas station on a relatively busy street , but honestly, it didn’t affect our stay at all. As a matter of fact, the family could be as loud as they wanted - we didn’t bother a soul!

I had a group of about 18 stay at this house for my 30th birthday in late July and we had the BEST experience with the home and host! We had PLENTY of room as we rented the entire home for the group, but renting parts of the home is also an option for smaller groups. The home is well kept and newly renovated in some areas. Everyone enjoyed having plenty of bathrooms and seating areas to hang in our downtime. The home is a quick drive or walk to anywhere in Port Clinton. The host was more than accommodating for ALL requests! Sheryl was very responsive and even answered a late night urgent call when we had some confusion on the passcode to part of the house (it was our fault). The host was very patient throughout our whole weekend stay and made sure to cover every detail prior to and during our stay. Thank you for making my 30th the best birthday yet!

My fantasy football group was able to have an amazing weekend and got our college friends all back together under 1 roof again. The house was great for having everyone in 1 spot and able to hang out all together. Plenty of room inside and outside for cooking/cards/games. Easy 30 minute walk to the Jet Express Ferry over to Put In Bay and around 15 minute walk to Port Clinton Beach.

We have a fantastic time at The Gathering Place! We had a large group with ages ranging from 1-year-old to 67 years old. Everything was neat and clean when we arrived. The kitchens were well stocked. The beds were super comfy! There were plenty of blankets and pillows as well. Lots of great communication with the property owner. She gave us lots of ideas for things to do while we were there and was very helpful with my many questions. The pool was great and the beach was nice too. Both were only a short drive from the house. We also enjoyed taking the ferry to the island of Put-in-Bay. Would highly recommend!!

We read all of the reviews and knew that the space would be adequate for our big family and that the place would be clean, but there is not a price that can be placed on an immaculate facility where EVERYTHING has been thought of and the communication is excellent! We simply can't say enough good. Perfect location. Perfect hosts. Perfect accommodations. DO NOT HESITATE to book! We didn't want for anything even though we made all of our meals there and had family members ranging from infant to senior. Perfection!

Cheryl the owner was super easy to work with. Super easy process and was ready well before our group got there. The place had ample places to relax inside and out with a very nice patio area to BBQ and just chill after a long day on the boat. Very clean, with every little detail taken care of. I will definitely be coming and staying again for my annual guys trip. All the beds were queen sized which was amazing, as well as super comfy. Felt like I was visiting my aunts, grandma's place with the warm feeling. Thank you very much for the great place to stay for the weekend.

From the first conversation with Cheryl about how our family would fit in the property, to the time there, to checkout, Cheryl was helpful and responsive. Even with her busy schedule she checked on us with a text. The grandkids really enjoy the communal pool during the week. A couple times we had it all to ourselves. We had a couple hours at East Harbor State Park beach which is beautiful and very sandy very far out. All the beds were comfortable. The four middle age grandkids spent much of their time on the lower level, using the dorm room with 4 queen beds as their private play room! We loved the kitchen and living area on the second level. The deck on the second level served us well for morning coffee, afternoon drinks and our adult dinner! Although this property is in a commercial area, we could see the lake from the second floor deck and could easily walk to the city beach to view the sunsets. A great location to see the area and come home in the afternoon to relax and visit!

This was a great place to stay for large families (we had 18 people from age 1-68!). Everyone had a bed and it was great to have the little suite for my husband's parents to have a little extra privacy. It was so close to the beach, too!

What a wonderful property! Perfect place for a bigger group. Plenty of space for everyone to have their own privacy and quiet time. Sheryl is very responsive to any questions you may have and very easy to communicate with!! Excellent!! This trip is very important to all of us. We had an amazing stay in this beautiful home! Having the option to rent out both floors made it easy for the whole family to have their quiet time when needed, but most importantly provided excellent space to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday. On top of how well kept the property is, we were a quick drive from the ferry and had an amazing day adventuring around Put-In-Bay! My mom, myself, and the rest of our family had a great time and cannot wait to return on warmer months to see what else Port Clinton has to offer.
