Precious little gem on Plaka

The location is just perfect leading up to the beach on a quiet stretch of Plaka beach. It has parking, so ideal if you want to rent a car. I was amazed at the hospitality. Coming from India, where hotels are known for their exceptional hospitality, Athina doesn't disappoint at all. The personal welcome by Theo and the detailed explanation about the island really showed his passion and care. We got a free upgrade as it was the end of the season. I got a bit of flu towards the end of the stay, and again the amount of care the staff showed was exceptional. This is definitely a place I would come again in Naxos. The breakfast was also great and had a lot of veggie options.

I would have personally liked if we had a water kettle and tea options in the room. But we used the induction stove and kettle provided to heat up the water we needed.

Amazing hospitality! We LOVED LOVED LOVED!

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen somewhere truly special. A tall, elegant gentleman greeted us at the foot of the stairs and ushered us to the restaurant, where he offered us water, juice, or (in my case) a lovely glass of white wine. He then went over a map of the island, sharing history, must-see monuments, and helpful tips. After a short tour of the property, we were personally welcomed to our room by the owner herself. Athina (who shared that the hotel is named after her grandmother) was the warmest and most gracious hostess. The property is beautifully maintained with chic, comfortable, and picturesque décor. The location is unbeatable — right in Plaka, which we much preferred over the busier, more crowded Agios Prokopios. The bus stop just 50 meters away made it easy to get around (only €5 each to the port). Athina also recommended a private tour of the mountain villages with Ilias (the breakfast chef’s husband), which turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay. We were so glad we chose that over renting ATVs, as it was windy, hot, and far more relaxing to be chauffeured! The stunning beach is directly across the street, with comfortable daybeds available for €20 per person (with a food & beverage minimum). We spent our days alternating between the pool and the sea, and in the evenings we’d either take the bus into Naxos Town/Old Market for dinner or walk to one of the many restaurants and cafés nearby. It was the perfect balance of relaxation and exploration. Our room was lovely and well-stocked with things we needed. The linens were exquisite and the bed was very comfortable. Our last night(day #14 in Greece), we actually just stayed in, reheated our leftovers, drank a glass of wine and enjoyed the room! Not sure we've ever done that on vacation!

Our ONLY complaint is that the Wi-Fi was pretty poor. I was on a 5G connection, so I was fine; however, my spouse was Wi-Fi only and had a really hard time with it. The TV only had an antenna cable, so the night we stayed in, we thought we'd watch some Netflix or something, and we couldn't.

Pleasant boutique hotel right on the beach

We had a wonderful stay. The owner Athina sent out of her way to make us feel comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and proximity to the sea. The hotel is nicely designed. Breakfast is great.

Amazing hotel right on the beach with the highest quality food & drinks!

Amazing location right on the beach The hotel bar & restaurant 'Yucca' had amazing food and drinks. Cocktails were particularly special, some of the best cocktails we have ever had. Special mention to George & George on the bar who made amazing coffees & cocktails... Also thank you to Theo on reception who helped arrange multiple trips for us, with great recommendations. All the staff were super helpful and made us feel comfortable and welcome.

Some of the room facilities could be better, it would have been nice if the AC got even colder as it was a particularly warm week. Also the shower was either too hot or too cold, was hard to get it to the correct temperature.

Excellent stay right on the beach in Cyclades

We are family of four, our two daughters are 3 years old and 18 months old. Needless to say, how well we spend the holiday, depends on how well our daughters behave :) In that, the property and the hosts play a very important role. The property and the hosts were excellent! From the point of greeting to the point when we left after our stay, the hosts treated us with utmost respect and facilitated all our needs. Overall the experience was excellent and when we come back next year to Naxos for our annual Naxos summer holiday, we will book this property again. Thank you very much for facilitating our excellent holiday.

Stunning boutique beach hotel.

We had a small, but very stylish room (#24) with a stunning view facing the sea and a well used terrace - by us - for sundowners etc. . Superbly run hotel by the ever present Athina, whose family have owned the property for decades. Her hard work and foresight in making this boutique hotel so unique is paying off. Guests seem to come from all parts of Europe; many are returning customers, which is testament to the hard work and dedication of Athina and all her staff. Without exception, the staff are wonderful; well trained; genuinely friendly; helpful and fun - as well as being multilingual. Theo - Athina's right hand man - was just the best. Sonia's breakfast olive bread and pastries are legendary. In fact, the food generally is unsurpassed in the Plaka beach area. It is freshly made, using many ingredients from the hotel's own gardens. It is imaginative, varied and served with great pride, whether on the beach or in the open air Yucca restaurant - by the lovely Alex. Beach area us fabulously run by the energetic Panos and his team, serving up wonderful tasty lunches without having to move from our sunbeds. Aperol Spritz at 12 noon became quite a thing. Thank you all for making our holiday so restful. On this basis, we'll be back for more of the same!

Not a lot of storage space, no drawers in bedroom at all. Took a bit of getting used to the booking system of the sunbeds on beach , need to reserve them ahead of time at the bar.

We had an amazing stay at Athena Studios in Plaka! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. First of all, the location is perfect—right in front of beautiful Plaka Beach, just a short walk to lots of great restaurants, a mini market, and the bus stop. It’s not close to the main town, so it’s peaceful and relaxing, which was exactly what we were looking for. What truly made the stay special was Athena, the owner. She was incredibly accommodating—she personally greeted us when we arrived, offered us welcome drinks and snacks, and took the time to explain everything in person. She gave us recommendations for places to visit, beaches to explore, and restaurants to try, and even helped us rent an ATV. She genuinely cares about her guests and it really shows. Her staff were just as warm and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. Everyone went above and beyond. We were also celebrating our wedding anniversary, and Athena made such a lovely gesture by offering us a free breakfast on our special day. It was really appreciated and made our celebration even more memorable. And the breakfast itself was amazing—delicious food, beautifully prepared, and a perfect start to the day. The place is cozy and clean, but honestly, the hospitality is what makes it truly special. The only small downside was that the Wi-Fi could be a bit spotty at times, but honestly, who needs Wi-Fi when you're in such a beautiful, relaxing place? All in all, a perfect stay. We felt so welcomed and cared for. Highly recommended—and we’d absolutely return!

Beautiful, quiet and in the perfect location! Staff were wonderful and upgraded us to a sea view room without us asking! Food is great, drinks fantastic and there is also a lovely pool to relax by after a day at the magical beach! We will definitely return!!!

One of the best places I've ever stayed due to the staff, property and hospitality. It is beautiful!

This property is like a boutique hotel with the most amazing hospitality. Athina greeted us and while our bags were being taken to our room we sat in the outdoor dining/living room and ate lunch. Athina came and sat with us and explained everything about the property. There are 26 studio/suites. The room was modern and updated. The decor was beautiful. Athina makes you feel so special, a part of the family and that you are staying at their home. The restaurant and bar had fantastic food and very good drinks. The location is right on Plaka beach which is beautiful. The area is so unique and beautiful. The pool area is so private but yet you can walk a few steps and be on the beach. There are nice lounge chairs and umbrellas. This was the best place we stayed on our 16 day trip. The best part was the amazing staff who go out of their way to make sure you are having a wonderful time. I felt as if I met some new friends!

This accommodation was absolutely 10/10. Athena and her welcoming smile made us feel like family as soon as we stepped onto her property. The property pays special attention to keeping it comfortable and clean, eco-friendly and secure. All staff greeted warmly at all times. The junior studio was a good size and had a beautiful view of the gardens and sea. Location was excellent - very close to the loveliest restaurants, bars, beach (across the road), bus (every half hour) and local store.

Everything about our stay was amazing! Our room, the junior suite was fabulous and had beautiful views of the sea. The staff were so friendly and make us feel so at home. Athina welcomed us personally with a cool drink and a lot of information at the beautiful resort, which is even better then pictures can show. Our room was lovely, spacious, clean and cool with wonderful toiletry products made of olive oil. Breakfast (16 euro’s) is fresh, varied and all home made by Sofia. Best rice pudding I have ever tasted. Margarita, Maria and the whole staff is so friendly and thoughtful. Athina has a lovely Beach with sunbeds and a chair, huge umbrella’s, towels and a cooler with water bottles (all for 20 euro’s per set) and Theo serves drinks & great food on the beach with a smile. The pool is great with comfortable cabana’s, sunbeds and a jacuzzi. In the garden there’s Yukka restaurant under an old tree with table’s for lunch/dinner with sea view, so romantic. And with Koulis’ great cocktails you finish the day perfectly. We would rate our stay at Athina’s little paradise with a 10+ if possible. Thanks for everything!

An absolutely wonderful experience.

The entire experience at Athina Studios was wonderful. The rooms were well appointed and clean. We were immediately greeted by the staff and owner and they were very warm and inviting. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food and drinks were excellent. We enjoyed drinking cocktails at the bar and absolutely loved our delicious dinner at Yucca, the onsite restaurant. The morning buffet breakfast was delicious and made fresh to order each morning. We could not have asked for a better experience in Naxos.

Truly Relaxing Beach Vacation

We loved how close it was to an amazing beach. The room was comfortable, modern, and clean. Beds and pillows comfy. The staff was very friendly and always helpful, especially Theo who supervised the beach service area. The food was incredibly delicious. We loved everything about our stay!
