Athina Studios and Suites Plaka

The great location was a major advantage. We had cafés, restaurants, and a supermarket all within walking distance. The owner and the staff were also very kind and welcoming.

I found the breakfast price excessive; €25 per person is far too much. The beach was also packed with sun loungers and parasols that had to be paid for separately, so we always had to move to less crowded areas of the beach.

We loved everything about Athina, from the before we even arrived the team were so helpful and accommodating, the rooms were stunning and tastefully decorated, the pool was perfect with lots of space, right on the best beach in Naxos, loads of choice at breakfast (with delicious home bakes), food at Yukka was lovely - all staff friendly and chatty and helpful

Prices for everything were unreasonable. A small water in greece is .50 euro everywhere. Most hotels were free. At athina they did not have small waters and you had to pay 3 euros for their water. Breakfast was 25 euros. Cappuccino and espresso is 5 euros extra and you have to pay separately In addition their beach chairs were a minimum of 25 euros in person in food and drink. We felt like we were nickled and dimed. We had been in Greece for a month amd this was the first place we had this experience.

The location is just perfect leading up to the beach on a quiet stretch of Plaka beach. It has parking, so ideal if you want to rent a car. I was amazed at the hospitality. Coming from India, where hotels are known for their exceptional hospitality, Athina doesn't disappoint at all. The personal welcome by Theo and the detailed explanation about the island really showed his passion and care. We got a free upgrade as it was the end of the season. I got a bit of flu towards the end of the stay, and again the amount of care the staff showed was exceptional. This is definitely a place I would come again in Naxos. The breakfast was also great and had a lot of veggie options.

I would have personally liked if we had a water kettle and tea options in the room. But we used the induction stove and kettle provided to heat up the water we needed.
