Wind Tales

A review won't be enough to tell everyone how wonderful Alexi and his staff are. He makes you feel at home from the moment you meet him. He wants to ensure you are comfortable and have the best time visiting. He might be the kindest person in the world and he might also be the mayor of Syros (he literally knows everyone and can help with anything!). The view is truly incredible, and you get to enjoy a home cooked breakfast every morning that is one of the best breakfasts you will ever have! The accomodations are perfect and everything is nice and comfortable! 10/10 stay with the kindest and most caring people you could ever want!

Wind Tales is an absolute gem. The views are magnificent, the room was charming, chic, spacious and comfortable. The daily breakfast was a delight. Locally sourced, beautifully presented and just delicious. Lots of thought and personal touch. Loved it. Alexis and his team couldn’t have done more to accommodate us and ensure we made the most of Syros. The outside area is a peaceful place to unwind, read and take in the views, with a perfectly sized plunge pool to help you cool off. Despite what some reviews say, we found the 20-minute walk from the port to Wind Tales completely manageable as two reasonably fit, able-bodied people. Alexis also provided a brilliant concierge service, arranging taxis for us on an island where they’re sparse, and booking dinner reservations. We couldn’t recommend this place enough and will certainly be back.

From the moment I arrived at Wind Tales, I was made to feel so welcome by Alexis & Dimitri. From the delicious Mezze & cool wine, to my beautiful rooms. The spacious stone bathroom was another level with such beautiful products. Alexis gave me a short history of the property and Anos Syros. He suggested a lovely traditional Mezze bar which was a highlight. The breakfast was so delicious and generous, featuring subtle home made jams, honey with thyme, eggs cooked in olive oil with local feta, fresh melon, home grown tomatoes, a great pot of tea and yogurt and granola. The views are truly amazing too!

We had a really lovely time at Wind Tales! The hotel is so nicely furnished, every object is beautiful and of high quality. Being in Ano Syros, it is fresh at night and without mosquitoes. The breakfast is probably the best hotel breakfast I have had :) We felt very welcomed by the staff who were very kind and gave us a lot of tips to visit the island, thank you so much Tonia, Dimitris and Alexis!
