It was a 15th century Monastery renovated into a stunning hotel in a great location. Our rooms and bathrooms were beautiful, comfy and large. The concierge was so helpful in assisting us with dining suggestions, securing a taxi as well as helping to take our bags to the taxi location. She truly went above and beyond.
Breakfast was included and the best I've ever had during my many travels. The dining room was visually stunning.
I can't say enough, it was fantastic! I highly recommend Hotel Pironi in the stunning location of Cannobio.
I can't think of anything I didn't like about this Hotel and certainly nothing negative about
the condition or service we received.

The Pironi Hotel is a delightful 12 room hotel in Cannobio, Italy. It is very conveniently located, just a 3 minute walk from the ferry landing. The hotel building is an old monastery, but It has been very tastefully redesigned. Our room was furnished with antiques that fit the style of the original structure, yet the bathroom was modernized with an excellent shower and lots of amenities such as robes, a hair dryer and toiletries. The room also had a lovely balcony with a wonderful view of Lake Maggiore. It was a delightful spot to share a glass of wine and see the sunset colors on the water.
A delicious breakfast is included in the price of the room. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning cappuccinos along with fruit, pastries and meats and cheeses. The staff at the hotel was also very helpful. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they suggested a lovely restaurant with fantastic food in a lovely garden setting. It was the perfect spot for intimate celebration.
Cannobio is a charming town worth visiting on Lake Maggiore. The winding cobblestone streets and beautiful promenade make it a joy to explore. There are also several hiking trails to enjoy in the hills above Cannobio, along with beaches on a river and the lake where you can take a swim.
We truly enjoyed our visit to Cannobio and our stay at the Pironi was the perfect place to stay.
The fan in our bathroom was extremely loud. I unplugged it when I wasn’t using the shower.

Amazingly beautiful place. Great location - best restaurants in Cannobbio are 1-3 min walking distance. Beautifully restored old villa with beautiful paintings and very comfortable rooms.

The location is central in Cannobio and the cobbled streets around are beautiful. The renovation to the property is stunning whilst keeping original features, frescos, fireplace, lovely to walk around. Free parking a couple of streets away which is easy to find. Breakfast is lovely in a beautiful room. Staff were really helpful.
