Ryokan Fuji

A spacious Japanese bedroom complete with Tatami mats, comfortable futon, and paper windows. Features a private bathroom area with a Japanese automatic, toilet and a superb shower. This hotel was opened by the owner’s mother 75 years ago and was extensively renovated 25 years ago. My favorite moment here was walking across the street early in the morning to pick up some coffee from 7-Eleven, and then coming back to sit on a stone slab in the inn’s beautifully maintained Japanese garden. Very reasonably priced, and I love that my money was supporting a traditional Japanese inn rather than some random corporate hotel. The owner is super nice and he is hoping to pass the hotel down to his daughter.

This place is perfect and I would not change a thing.

J'adore cet endroit.

Very simple setup. The host is very nice and attentive. If you want an experience that is straightforward with simple elegance this is it. The 7/11 across the street is also very convenient.
