The property was close to the motorway which was what we needed on our journey.

I specifically asked for a hotel with parking because we had our ski gear with us. The hotel did have parking however, it was a public car park down the road.

Very average experience. Room was clean and bed's comfortable.

Room was a little random with bad lighting, no bed side table or table lamp in the small room off main room. The Hotel feels very abandoned and unloved, like its about to close down. We were only guests i think. The bar was closed, no restaurant or food and the breakfast was shocking for €13 a head. Parking was offered but hard to find so ended up on the street.

Great for a motorway sropover

Great for a stopover just off the motorway, fun decor, friendly staff and a good breakfast. Free parking close by.

For an overnight stop, it’s ok.

Handy for Calais ferry port. Easy to find and parking at the station (which is free overnight) is about a three to five minute walk away. There is no parking at the hotel. Go to the SNCF parking. There are lots of cars there overnight so it felt safe. The beds are comfortable but the rooms were very warm and one person in our party didn’t sleep well because of this. Staff (one lady) was lovely and very friendly. Towels were spotless and bedding also.

This hotel has seen better days and we chose not to eat there as the menu isn’t really on offer. There is a great ‘pub’ over the road and the meals there were decent.

Loved our stay. Pretty unusual and eccentric decoration. Very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Great location, comfortable bed, terrible breakfast

The bed was very comfortable as was the shower, if you could squeeze into it.

The staff were non-existent. The breakfast had been prepared the night before and was left out all night. It must be the worst breakfast I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. We even had to microwave food that had been left in the fridge.

Wouldn’t stay here again…

The location is fine and the design is modern. There is a free parking nearby.

It was extremely hot and there was no AC, and I couldn’t open the window because it was very noisy because of the trains and because of the people partying outside. Also, it was very weird i was asked for a 100€ guarantee at the checkin, and i do travel a lot and i have never seen this before. The usual hotels I choose in Béthune were not available so i didn’t have a lot of choice…

The family room was huge and very comfortable with a massive TV. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly. The restaurant was quite expensive but the food was outstanding. The largest wine list I have ever seen

We love Cit'Hotel in Béthune. It's great as a staging post for our drive to the south of France each time we come off the Eurotunnel at Calais. There's a great buffet breakfast to choose from and the rooms are individual (themed), spacious, super clean with great ensure bathrooms. Will go again.

We would not stay there again

The receptionists was helpful and pleasant. He told us he had upgraded us, but if that was so the standard room we booked must have been pretty grim.

There is no carpark despite their description saying there is. We had to park in a public carpark about 150 metres away. As I have mobility issues that was not good. Also we had to climb 2 and a half flights of stairs to get to our room - no lift. I found the big fat pillows very uncomfortable.

Very disappointing

The guy working on reception and in the bar was very personable and friendly.

The room was very dark, cramped and smelt of damp. The small double bed was pushed up against a wall and there was very little room to move. The room was accessed through a courtyard that housed bins and up a outside spiral staircase. The whole hotel had a very damp and depressing decor.

Great central stopover.

Great family room, huge with good sized bathroom too. Very comfy beds, we all slept well. Although a good central location opp a train station, overnight noise was minimal and didn't disturb us at all. Reception chap was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Just a 10 min walk to the very beautiful Grand Place and its numerous restaurants. No distance from autoroute and a great stopover for Calais/Eurotunnel, which is an hour away.
