A little gem hidden in the hills

I think this place is a little gem hidden in the hills by the forest in Aubagne. My son and I stayed here for a week, unfortunately because it is chilly in January I didn't go in the pool or hot tub, but they looked clean and inviting. Vanessa, our host, was amazing and on hand if we needed anything. She kindly gave us a larger apartment at no extra cost and everything you could need was available. We unfortunately had to cut our holiday short and Vanessa processed the refund the same day, no quibble. We also had a continental breakfast delivered every morning which was plentiful. As we had no car Vanessa explained there was a free shuttle bus into the town centre (No 14) about 200m from the apartment and she gave us a lift down the hill to the town centre on our first morning. I would recommend a car due to the location though as it is a steep climb up the hill. The buses were regular but the last bus back from town was approx 7pm and doesn't run Sunday. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again, but next time in the summer. 5*

Super enjoyable stay...

This residence with separate quarters for guests all with private entrance was amazing!! the privacy was amazing and secure. Very close to the village to go out for dinner or buy local products at the fantastic grocery store 9 minutes away and cook in your little house. The hosts are super people .. very close to Marseille or super motorway to get to the ocean.. both within 30 minutes... WE are coming back!! Enjoy

that we only booked 4 days!! My daughter wanted to stay longer... oh you definitely need to arrive by your own car / rental as this beautiful place is not serviced by bus... you can call a taxi if needed.. however, a car gives you super access to move about!

Very warm welcome, great value for money and perfect for families!

A fantastic find with a unique charm, great value for money, perfect for families and a peaceful location. Great facilities; we enjoyed being able to make lunch in our room and also at the communal kitchen near the pool. Lots of places to sit outside and eat too. The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful and gave us the warmest welcome, they really made us feel at home!

This place was perfect!

This place is the greatest, the hosts are so friendly, it was quiet and the rooms were perfect. Lovely grounds and pool, summer kitchen for use if you don't want to cook inside. We will be going back for sure!

Residence Royal Palmeraie is a very nice country residence set in a quiet tranquil location outside Aubagne. We had an apartment for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 teens. Everything we needed was supplied. Beds were very comfortable and the apartment was very clean. We especially liked the pool and outdoor seating areas, there was a themed room that had an Indiana Jones vibe going on, we loved it. We loved sitting around the communal areas just chilling out in the evening having a beer and listening to the crickets. The owners were very friendly and around in the background to help with anything, we liked the man who met us with the key and had a long chat in French even though we didn't really speak it we understood everything perfectly, the joys of travelling. This place is very suitable for anyone with their own transport who want to chill out and relax away from hustle and bustle, but yet just a short drive to everywhere. I will be keeping this address shortlisted as I would definitely stay here again.

Pendant mon roadtrip moto, je cherchais un endroit pour me reposer car la météo annonçait de la pluie toute la journée, je n’aurais pas pu trouver mieux. L’endroit est magnifique, calme, reposant. Les hôtes, Vanessa et Patrick, au top! Tellement bienveillants… Un grand MERCI!

Bel environnement et bonnes prestations, mais déception concernant la taille de la chambre

Très beau parc entourant la maison, cadre agréable et verdoyant. Belle piscine bien entretenue. Bon accueil et propriétaire agréable.

Hôtel un peu difficile à trouver, situé dans les hauteurs. Chambre initialement plus petite que prévue (15 m² au lieu des 30 m² réservés). Une partie de la chambre avait été fermée avec une explication peu convaincante, mais elle a été ouverte après notre réclamation, malheureusement il ne restait qu’une nuit. Aucun ajustement de tarif proposé malgré la réduction d’espace. Dommage.

Très bon accueil Cadre verdoyant, joliment arboré, avec une belle et grande piscine, qui doit être très agréable en saison ! Petit-déjeuner copieux et de qualité, dommage à mon sens qu'il n'y ait pas de diversité d'un jour sur l'autre

La suite est fonctionnelle mais elle mériterait un bon rafraîchissement La douche n'est pas des plus pratique avec la colonne cassée (impossible de se laver sans voir le pommeau dans la main) Le réseau n'est pas top (très probablement en raison de la situation géographique) mais ce n'est pas là l'essentiel :)

Un superbe accueil de Vanessa et son conjoint et une attention particulière pour la maman de Vanessa qui est une personne exceptionnelle avec le franc parler et la chaleur du Sud. Une résidence splendide, au calme, avec tout le confort souhaité.

Los anfitriones muy amables, simpáticos y serviciales. La señora incluso nos ayudó con unas curas de una herida, al tener formación de enfermería. Es un lugar muy recomendable en un entorno maravilloso, con un jardín y una piscina estupendos.

Guter Startpunkt nach Marseille.

Große Anlage, großer Pool, familiengeeignet. Ein bißchen in die Jahre gekommen, aber exzellent bewirtschaftet. Eine grüne Oase. Nicht weit nach Marseille.

Der nächste Ort Aubagne ist furchtbar. Kulinarisch und auch sonst. Deshalb in der Anlage bleiben oder nach Marseille fahren!
