Good

The location is absolutely beautiful and the views are spectacular. The hotel has an incredible deck overlooking the sea. The staff is nice and the free shuttle to and from the ferry is very convenient.

The gorgeous location is also unfortunately a drawback. It's far from everything. There are buses which are quite convenient but not for eating out at night. If you don't have a car, you are a bit forced to eat at the hotel and the options are limited. The indoor pool was quite disappointing because it looked very big in the pictures and is in fact very small. And we were unlucky with our bed. We had requested a queen sized bed but had two single beds put together with one sheet and there was an uncomfortable gap.

The most polite member of stuff was Timothée! Very kindly and searching for results in any case of problem. Chapeau! Upgrade of room because of ugly smell coming out of canalization.

The answer of a stuff member claiming the ugly smell resulting from canalization in our room (which we reserved far away from the lift): „Yes, this may be, but you reserved especially a room far away from the lift.“ I cannot understand the relation between smell and lift ....

Bad start to our holiday in France- even if Belle Ile is a beautiful island.

Lovely views and DG Dominique tried to address our room issues

Rooms in the old tower side were badly laid out and unsuitable for older people or young kids, we were transferred to a couple of the newly refurbished in main building, but they had plumbing problems and were not yet ready for guests. Apart from Dominique, most of the other reception staff and restaurant staff were young and inexperienced and nervous and unable to solve problems.

Superb view, not family friendly, ok staff

The location is fantastic for walks to Port Coton. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean for as family stay. Nice spa and swimming pool facilities, with stunning view from the bar/cafe.

Not particularly suitable for families with young children, as the whole place is very quiet, any noise a child makes attracts the attention of the whole place. There is no playground on site, and the nearest playground is within a village bar which is 15-30min walk away. Staff are professional in general but could be quite inflexible. One afternoon we made a last minute lunch reservation at the cafe via the hotel’s reception (who said it’s ok), but the waitress was very reluctant to serve us, the whole service was poor (did not offer water for the table, forgot to bring the bottle of wine we ordered, only arrived when we almost finished our main). My husband had food poisoning from the fish they served at the hotel cafe. We talked to the hotel staff next morning and asked if they had any meds/ oral rehydration fluids. Staff said no and the only pharmacy is in Le Palais (the main town/port, 15min drive), and did not offer any help with getting meds. All they offered was some toast and Apple juice brought to the room.

Good

The restaurant le 180’ is a treat; offering a friendly service and an amazing quality of splendidly presented delicious food. The hotel room and the accessible amenities like the indoor pool cannot keep up with the expectations set by the restaurant and the upper price level but the location and setting of the hotel are really nice. If one finds oneself disappointed by the indoor swimming pool- There is a new and very nice indoor pool in the spa area that meets the expectations of a 4* hotel - however hotel guests are discouraged to enter this stylish pool in this renovated part of the hotel since the Spa pool is not open to guests unless they are customers of the Spa for the duration of their treatments.

We had amazing room , big enough, but all the buildings on the island never had any air conditioning.. As the temperature outside was up to +35’C, the room in the evening was extremely hot..

Friendly island, best hotel

First and foremost: the kindness of the staff and people. Delicious food, fresh from the sea, every evening! Where else do you get fresh oysters for breakfast? We felt extremely welcome by everyone at the hotel.

Le personnel était vraiment attentionné et agréable. En amont comme lors de notre arrivée, tout était parfait. Nous avons pu loué une voiture à l'hôtel pour un prix très compétitif qui nous a permis de la rendre après le restaurant du soir sans avoir à louer le lendemain, ce fut très pratique.

On a été super bien accueilli par l'équipe et on a été agréablement surpris d'être surclassé vers une chambre avec vue mer Le repas du soir était excellent . Mention + pour la qualité du vin L'accès au sauna, hamman, piscine est immense plus

Pas grand chose, je conseillerais juste un petit refresh des installations dans l'espace détente qui commencent à vieillir Et en tant que belge ( ou chez nous c'est commun) j'aurai aimé pouvoir être sans maillot dans le sauna.

L’accueil était au top. Le personnel super attentionné avec nous. La gentillesse d’amener nos sacs à dos sur le palais. (Tour de belle île) Le restau gastro est à la hauteur, de très bonne qualité. Le petit déjeuner également, bon rapport qualité/prix. Merci pour l’attention de la chambre 501 ! Chambre spéciale dans la tour :))))

Bon séjour

Séjour très agréable en raison du magnifique emplacement du castel clara. Petits déjeuners délicieux et brunch top. Personnel attentif et navette organisée par l'hôtel très pratique pour venir du bateau.

En revanche piscine intérieure très vieillissante et la déco des chambres un peu vieillotte. Prix des restaurants un peu trop élevé.

L’emplacement très agréable avec une vue unique

L’accueil à notre arrivée. Personnel parfois désagréable (pas le cas de tout le personnel fort heureusement). On sentait un climat de tension permanent dès qu’une demande était faite. L’état de la chambre nous a déçus également (traces de dégât des eaux, salissures sur les rideaux, papiers peints décollés, joints noirs dans la sdb, taches multiples sur les murs…), surtout au vu du prix de la chambre (chambre dite supérieure).

Super séjour en famille.

Vue magnifique sur le port depuis le bar, le restaurant et la chambre. Chambre familiale très agréable avec l’espace mezzanine. Personnel attentif et toujours disponible. Piscine d’eau salée extérieure et d’eau douce intérieure toutes dix avec jolie vue. Équipement de qualité.

Le concept du bar est très bien et mériterait une carte davantage basée sur sur les barbecues. La carte du restaurant et du bar est restreinte ce qui assure des produits de qualité mais un plat “du jour” serait le bienvenu pour rendre les cartes plus alléchantes encore.

Helemaal uitgerust in een prachtig hotel in ongerepte natuur

De ligging is fantastisch. Neem wel een kamer met zeezicht ! Dat maakt veel verschil. De omgeving is rustig en mooi en nodigt tot wandelen uit. De restaurants zijn niet echt goedkoop, maar het eten is dan ook excellent. Het bedienend personeel is dat ook.

Alleen het feit dat er maar 1 lift was. Die ging kapot helaas. Dat past niet bij een hotel in deze klasse.

La vue qui donne sur le port est magnifique. Le lit est très confortable. Le petit dej est top ! Et le service est largement à la hauteur.

Cependant la salle de bain est petit (rajouter la pièce de toilette peut être une solution). Les couloirs pour arriver à la chambre sont d’un autre temps, ainsi que l’ascenseur.

Site somptueux mais ambiance froide, guindée et chambre sans aucune vue, même pas sur un jardin !

Le site est magnifique.

Un accueil froid. Un chambre supposément sur jardin qui était sur un immense toit plat avec graviers (chambre 410), sans aucune vue. On s'en est plaint mais rien n'a été fait, bien que l'hôtel, à l'évidence, ne soit pas complet. Un des personnel a même reconnu que ce n'était vraiment pas le bonne chambre... Pas de petit frigo. L'ensemble commence à vieillir un peu. Les moquettes sont tâchées. Les transats de la piscine extérieure ne sont plus accessibles après 19h... L'ambiance est globalement assez froide.
