Added to my list of hotels to revisit!

A weekend of wellness. Room was comfortable and quiet. Too cold to sit on the balcony. Sauna and pool areas were glorious. Breakfast was sumptuous and varied. Everything a heart could desire was available. The view from the reading room and the comfort made me feel right at home.

Most of the staff were great but they were let down by the catering manager who was the rudest hotel employee I’ve ever met.

The no-can-do hotel

The location was fantastic, lovely views to the lake.

The catering manager went out of his way to be rude. We were a party of 5. We asked for a table in the restaurant at 8:00pm, he was quite reluctant to give us a table even though there was plenty of space. He then proceeded to ignore us for 20mins. No drinks, no menu. When we finally got a bottle of water and a local red wine, he refused to open the bottle, just walked off. We had to go to the bar and get our own cork screw. I’ve stayed in many hotels but have never come across anyone with such a rude attitude.

Bodensee Hotel

Location is fantastic, big and varied breakfast (including hot options), elevator, lovely terrace area, lots of free parking, private beach for the lake.

The prices keep going up and the service and facilities keep going downhill. It used to be so well maintained and the staff really made sure everything was tip top - including the service in the restaurant. The last couple of times, 2 of the larger pool jets were out of order, there was quite a bit of mildew in the steam room on the walls, lights burned out, the trash overflowing, things not replenished, cheaper tea and less options, service in restaurant is almost totally non-existant, dirty plates weren't cleared off tables to make room for new ones, requests were initially met with "we can't do that" when they absolutely could . . . just hits and vibes differently now.

The staff was great, the breakfast was well furnished with a large choice. The spa was clean and spacious, with one hammam and three saunas.

Superb

Lovely hotel with views over the Bodensee. Evening meal and breakfast on the terrace overlooking lake and vineyards was a definite highlight. Plenty of parking. Comfortable well equipped bedroom.

The room was a good size but strangely had a very small shower room with little room for storage. It had a separate WC and basin which should have been incorporate for a decent walk-in shower.

The hotel was nice but pricey and overall a little disappointing

The hotel is in a quiet location near a pleasant small town. The room was good and the bathroom a good size. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.

The view from the room was of a wall and a hedge. The hotel is described as being on a private beach but we couldn't find it.

Wonderful view, delicious food and delightful decorations

I spent my birthday there. The view was spectacular 😍 absolutely loved the lake view. The breakfast was very diverse and tasty. The pool even though a bit small, did the job and I got use out of it. My room was spacious and very tastefully decorated I was very happy with it. I had dinner at the restaurant and the waiters were lovely the food amazing. I had a great experience, they had a few deers and sheeps on the hotel grounds which made me happy, they had a lot of space and they looked healthy.

I expected this because I do live in Germany I would prefer if people went in the sauna with a bathing suit on. I didn't use the unisex sauna sadly. But that's more cultural than a hotel issue. I do feel like this hotel is more geared towards germans because they don't speak English at all, or very minimal, the signs and even the brochures, the hotel rules etc were all in german. I managed because I do live in Germany so I know some german already but if you don't know any I imagine that could be a bigger issue for you. If you don't have a car the hotel is pretty far from the train station, again for me I live here I like to walk. I'm used to it but if you aren't that could be an issue for you especially if you carry a lot of bags. I saw they had a taxi at the hotel so maybe if you have an issue walking around 20 minutes you can ask for that service. I was happy with my stay i wanted to make this points for others who might find this issues harder to deal with.

Beautiful view. Very good breakfast. The room is big and nicely decorated. The restaurant is very good also, we had a lovely dinner. Very comfy beds. Totally recomand it.

The location is up on a hill, a little bit remote . Not suitable if you don't go by car

Superb

this was our 13th stay at this hotel. Upon arrival receptionists were unfriendly, unwelcoming and rude. Insisted they did not have our reservation, we had to present our reservation on our cell phones. Also our table reservation at the restaurant, made in good advance was questioned. Not until a waitress who knew us from previous stays cleared the situation a reluctant apology was made.

This hotel is a great value with very unique qualities.

The location and panoramic view of Bodensee is stunning. The spa area, pool, grounds, and terrace are are all very well organized, clean, modern, and generously spacious. Exercise facilities are amazingly well fitted with every type of equipment. The room was large and modern with great views.

The only thing was the need to carry our own luggage up the front steps.

amazing staff. Breakfast was delicious. Ameties are perfect. the view is really good and the rooms and hotel are very comfortable. Hotel was kids friendly.

Even though I was on a double bed, I was only provided 1 very small pillow and a single duvet. I requested from reception, a non-feather pillow and I never received it. I requested from reception, a face-cloth and I never received it. The bar closes early.

Pleasant surroundings. overlooking Bodensee. Very good breakfast buffet offerings. Rooms in the primary buildings are comfortable.

Staff at this property can be unpredictable. Pleasant reception upon check-in but (different staff member) simply impolite and hostile upon check-out.

Was nice but not the greatest, for the price I had to pay: 200€ instead of 150€ the week after.

Simply great!

Very nice breakfast buffet with variety of options. I can imagine having a breakfast on the restaurant's terrace in summer with a great view of Bodensee will be an unfogettable experience.

The Pillows were too Soft.
