Perfect, homely, kind hosts, everything provided for stress-free stay

My hosts Laura and Sergio were so eager to ensure I had a comfortable stay with everything I needed. When I caught a cold from another tourist in Venice, they were so worried about me, such a lovely couple! My room had everything I needed, and having a balcony made all the difference. All inclusive breakfast had a wide choice of food. Oh and of course the hotel is just across the road from Lake Garda. Perfect stay.

Amazing owners, good breakfast, great starting point for the trips around Lago di Garda.

Older family hotel, but clean and comfortable. Sergio and Laura were amazing, they were for us at any time we want them and they spoke very good english and German. It’s about 1 hour walk to the historic centre of Sirmione. Around the hotel are great restaurants, bars, bakery and large supermarket. Parking place is little bit small, but there was a lot of free parking places around the hotel.

There is no fridge in the hotel room, but we solved this problem with car fridge.

A warm, welcoming stay in a perfect lakeside location, made even better by truly thoughtful hosts.

The location is excellent: just a very short walk from the lake (we could even see it from our balcony). There are restaurants a short walk away, a large supermarket, corner stores, a beautiful Art Noveau café to have a coffee and pastry in front of the lake and buses to take you further if you wish. This is a simple, no-frills accommodation - there’s no pool or late-night dining - but don’t let that put you off. The price reflects this, which is great considering how expensive hotels around Lake Garda can be. It’s such great value. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the owners, Laura and Sergio, truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. They're incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially when it comes to getting around Lake Garda. Laura even gave us a map of the Lake and printed train times for our day trip to Venice. As someone with celiac disease, I really appreciated the thoughtful care they took with my dietary needs. Sergio also has celiac disease, so he understands it well - I believe he even shared some of his own gluten-free breakfast items with me. There’s also a small bar on-site if you’d like a drink in the evening or a coffee. Overall, Laura and Sergio are warm, friendly, genuinely kind hosts who make your stay feel special. We had a lovely time. Grazie mille! Ciao!

This isn't really a ‘dislike’ but something to know: as the owners live on the property - returning before midnight is preferred as they wait to lock up.

An authentic Italian experience if you want to whine down and relax.

I loved the quiet; it was not crowded with tourists. The proprietors, a husband and wife, were so gracious and helpful; they made me feel like I was home. It is across the street from Lake Garda which was stunningly beautiful. It was an authentic experience not one created for tourists. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and wish I could have stayed longer. It was the relaxing respite I needed.

Great people, great stay

Staff was extremely nice. parking lot at the hotel had very little space, but across the street there was a safe spot to park. close to a very big grocerystore and most things were in walking distance.

local transportation is not that nice. The hotel closes at 00.00h It didn't bother us at all, but just keep it in mind.

Very nice family hotel for a very good price in a quiet neighbourhood, everything is close with bike

Very quiet, staff is very nice, centro historico is about 5 km, but if you take a bike you are there in 15 minutes. Desenzano, Peschiera, Verona is quite close and easily accessible. Free parking in the hotel premises but if there is no park place it is also free in front of the hotel and opoosite the hotel. We could store our bikes in a separate storage. Breakfast is very good: proschiutto cotto, cheese, boiled egg, 5-6 types of sweet stuff( cake, brioche etc...) coffee pineapple/orange juice, yoghurt,jam, nutella. Lake view from the balcony.

the hotel is in a great location and the hosts were lovely! they helped us get bikes which we had for a whole day and told us the best places to go. We walked up the Sirmione peninsula but there are buses close by. The breakfast was good too with lots of choice. we would definitely come again.

Lovely staff and comfortable room.

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, allowed me to have breakfast early as I had an early train and would have missed their usual breakfast time. Room was clean and comfortable, ideal for solo travellers.

A little bit far from Sirmoine, maybe a 40 minute walk, however the walk was very lovely along the lake front so not an issue for me but may be for travellers that want to be nearer Sirmoine.

Family owned and ran. Spotless and great value.

The friendly owners who took time to talk to us and ask about our day and helped us plan a trip on the ferry across the lakes. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was spotless, and so to the rooms. Each day when we returned our rooms had been cleaned and the beds remade which I didn't expect but it was a nice touch. The fact that every room (I think, well ours did) has a little balcony to sit out and enjoy the lovely warm evenings. Fabulous restaurant across the street called Ciclone. Supermarket only 200m down the street. Short walk along the lake to neighbouring area with good restaurants and where you can get the shuttle bus to take you to Sirmione.

Familly run place. Sergio and Laura are wonderfull and always available (tipp: ask them what to visit during your stay!). Comfortable and exceptionally clean rooms (cleaned daily) with floor heating... very rich TV programm.

We had a great stay at the Hotel Derby. It’s a very welcoming family hotel. The owners are a lovely couple and they take care of everything with much love. Also breakfast complete and very well made. Definitely when back in Garda we will stay there again.

Disponibilità dei gestori e l'ambiente familiare, la posizione per le cure termali a Sirmione (5 minuti a piedi dalle terme Virgilio). Ottima base di partenza per qualsiasi tipo di escursione sul lago di Garda. Ottima colazione abbondante.

We hebben een onzettend leuke tijd gehad en willen nog een keer in dit hotel verblijven.

Het ontbijt is naar Italiaanse maatstaven heel goed. De eigenaren zijn hele lieve en behulpzame mensen. Het hotel is uitstekend gelegen in een levendige wijk die 's nachts rustig is. De badkamer van onze kamer was mooi en ruim. De kamer was goed donker te maken door de rolluiken naar beneden te doen. Het hotel heeft een eigen parkeerplaats (gratis).

Mały hotel z klimatem prowadzony przez bardzo przyjazne i sympatyczne małżeństwo. Wszystko na najwyższym poziomie, czysto, wygodnie, dobre śniadania. Bardzo mi się podobało. Polecam i pozdrawiam Laurę i Sergio😀
