Everything was great. The hotel is in a beautiful natural setting and is decorated magically, especially the outside area. Excellent restaurant. The staff is more than friendly. Plenty of parking spaces.
It's not a major complaint that would affect the overall rating of the hotel, but the shower in our room was a bit of a hassle. It took a long time for hot water to start flowing in the morning, and the stream was very weak, as if there wasn't enough water pressure.

Worst check-in we’ve ever experienced. Apathetic, lazy, inconsiderate check-in desk person didn’t even bother to show us to our room or even try to get someone to help us get our luggage from the parking lot to our room. They just sat there and pointed to a door and said “You can bring it in that way.” We’re 70 and 65. Unbelievable behavior for a highly rated and expensive hotel. We’ve had much better experiences at much cheaper hotels worldwide.
Then another person at the desk said they would have to hold our passports until we left. I pointed out that was against their own written rules and she relented.
That said…we’ve been treated poorly at check-in some other times when we’ve used Booking.com. It appears many hotels consider Booking.com guests second rate or suspect because they don’t make as much money from them.
They have plenty of high end attitude…but…don’t let that fool you…don’t expect a 5 star high end experience at this hotel…
