Home away from home

Restaurant and breakfast space are very charismatic, with low beam ceilings, antiques, and wood fire. Food was excellent, especially the breads. Room was large, simple, very practical lay out. Overall very good.

Overall good

Good beds, clean room. Restaurant in the hotel with regional kitchen. EV charging nearby. Asked for a late check-out which was no problem. Area suited for walks and runs in the woods.

Excellent value for good price if you're an early bird

Very big, comfortable room and very neat and tidy facilities. The restaurant served delicious meals and big portions. Breakfast was simple but top quality. Overall, strong, solid quality for affordable prices. Everything went smoothly and easily with a very capable staff.

Not specifically for the accommodation, but the church bells in every 15 minutes can be very annoying. It goes on from. 7 a.m., so it is certainly no good news for night owls.

A very nice, comfortable small hotel. Exceptionally friendly atmosphere and staff. Always my choice when visiting the K-town area. Clean rooms, well kept, everything worked. Price was very reasonable.

Breakfast is always marginally acceptable. Eggs to order would greatly improve the service.

Friendly Traditional Hotel and Restaurant Offering Good Value

We stayed here on a return trip to the UK from Slovenia - just one night. It's a little off the beaten track so relatively quiet but easy to find. Arrived around 8:30 pm on a Sunday and were able to order food before the kitchen closed at 9pm. Communication with the staff was easy in either English or German. The food (typical local cuisine) was well cooked and very tasty. We were served promptly and enjoyed relaxing in the outside seating area at the front of the hotel. Our rooms (singles) were comfortable and reasonably spacious with small balconies. WiFi worked well. Breakfast was typical continental style without frills. Overall , a very pleasant experience and we would stay here again if the opportunity arises

No real negatives. There's no lift so carrying luggage upstairs was not ideal.

Breakfast was very basic, was included with room, yet we had an extra charge of 5 euro each on the final bill. Booking shouldn't advertise free breakfast if there is a surcharge.

Authentic old school type of German Gasthof with a nice outdoor seating/eating area. Arrived back at hotel 8:30 Sunday night expecting to eat dinner and the kitchen had just closed but the waitress was able to get us some schnitzel, which is exactly what we wanted.

Showed up after 10 PM Saturday night and the hotel and restaurant/bar was all completely closed. No late night bell or attendant available. Had to find a different hotel for the night. On the positive side they didn't charge us for that night. Hadn't noticed the 9:30 deadline for check in when I made the reservation.
