This place is amazing, it is immaculate throughout and has everything you need, the gardens and pool are beautiful and the house is finished to the highest standard. The area is quiet and picturesque with many amenities within a ten minute drive. Had a wonderful, relaxing stay in Casa da Avó, I didn’t want to leave. The house, the garden, the scenery were just fantastic, I couldn’t have asked for more. It is actually even nicer than in the photos. I had two dogs with me and they were so happy with the huge garden. Can totally recommend a stay here.

We stayed in this lovely property for a week and had the best experience.
The villa itself is fantastic - it has everything you could possibly need including a bbq and pizza oven for lovely chilled evenings in its beautiful grounds. The kitchen is fully equipped too. Watch out for the mosquitos eating outside though - we found lighting citronella candles helped.
The outside area is beautiful - the pool is huge (12 metres) and the grounds are very well kept. We spent most of our days with our kids here and had a great time playing. The villa provides all the towels too so you can pack light ;-)
The area is very remote however everything is a short drive away - there are many amazing restaurants and wineries right on your doorstep. We would recommend Adega do Sossego in Melgaco and Monte da Mina Steakhouse in Moncao - both excellent food and service if you don't fancy cooking. Valenca is a little further afield for food but is well worth a visit to its town which is situated in a very old fort.
Everything here was wonderful for us and the family were so kind and welcoming - communication was always easy and helpful. We would love to come back soon!
