The experience prior to check-in made me not want to stay at this hotel. Unorganized/Unprofessional

The pictures online makes his place look inviting.

My room was canceled 2 hours before check-in without any explanation. The hotel looked abandoned.

TERRIBLE

It is cheap for a reason. Hotel is situated above a very noisy restaurant that plays music past 3am on a week day. If you enjoy your sleep, do not book this. Hotel staff opened my door at 6am and I had to shout for them to leave. Then again on a Saturday morning, 9am hotel staff entered the room. I was concerned about my privacy and barricaded the door closed from the inside when I would sleep to ensure no one entered. This was reported to the hotel staff multiple times and got no response to any emails. Hotel invoice was sent to me 2 weeks after leaving and even then, I had to send multiple emails to them and open a case via booking.com. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE

Awful check in and customer treatment, decent rooms

The room was clean and comfortable

The check in procedure and staffing. The instructions are not clear. We arrived during “staffed hours” and no one was there. Called the emergency number - which was also reportedly “staffed” - but no one answered. We were left outside for 45 minutes before finally walking down the strange side alley to find the keys. No apology from the hotel about the poor instructions or unstaffed emergency line.

A Polar Experience... in Every Sense of the Word

Room design

We had booked a romantic night away from the kids at this supposedly "high-end" hotel — hoping for warmth, comfort, and relaxation. The result? A perfect immersion into the atmosphere of an alpine freezer. The room was freezing, with no proper heating whatsoever, and no solution offered. Apparently, we should have brought our own fireplace. After a few hours playing human ice cubes under the covers, we gave up: we left at 2 AM, completely frozen. Romantic? Perhaps... if you're a penguin. For this price, I expected a magical night. Instead, I got a survival training session. Avoid if you’re fond of your toes.

Horrible

The room was not cleaned, I had hairs in the bed inside. A lot of noise, people speaking like nobody was staying at the hotel and could hear all the noises from the kitchen and restaurant. Also, the hot water came 30 minutes to come

Do not recommend

I really wanted to avoid writing a bad review but as I’ve been ghosted by the property regarding my refund, I guess I have no other choice. When I got to my room, the door was ajar and it had not been cleaned from the last guest. The bed was unmade and the bathroom was dirty. I genuinely felt unsafe in this hotel so I left. After contacting Booking.com, I received an email from the hotel letting them know about my experience and they assured me that Booking.com would refund the €400 I paid. Then the hotel ghosted me. It feels more like a hostel than a hotel.

Bad

I had an issue with my trip and I have arrived very late. I could not join the hotel. The hotel did not contact me for information (mail or phone). They have just dropped the pre-paid booking. No night service. I have slept in the parking. I got no response when I have asked for the paid night invoice. There is no customer service.

Very friendly staff. Nice room and excellent (but a little pricy diner). Despite the hotel is next to a highway and a railway station our room facing the railway station was completely quiet at night.

No breakfast options available during our stay. I am not sure if breakfast is offered. There are breakfast options in the village of Hoeilaart but we drove to the village of Overijsse to brunch at Le Pain Quotidien.

Best place I know for easy access to BRU

Thing about this place, compared to any of the ring road hotels I've stayed at its the Ritz! I've stayed at several, noise, small, horrible pillows, etc. Groenendaal is right next to a train station but not noisy. Some rooms are better than others, the restaurant is classic great Belgian dining and now there is a more causal gastropub right next door, same owners I think. If you're looking to stay to get to BRU easily the next morning I don't know a better place.

Weird bathroom in room 1, toilet has a REALLY noisy flush. Must piss off people in other rooms too. Room 2 is a lot better. Bed was big but the sheets felt starchy.

Vraiment déçu i

Étant de passage pour un événement à Rixensart j'ai décidé de réserver une chambre d'hôtel et j'ai réservé a cet hôtel malgré 17min de trajets d'où je devais aller car il y avait un parking et une belle salle de bain. Arrivé sur place a 22h et pas d'emplacement devant l'hôtel j'ai dû aller me garer au parking de la gare (heureusement le week end c'est gratuit) Arrivé dansa chambre il faisait super froid il y avait juste un radiateur d'appoint qui ne suffisait pas pour chauffer la chambre (hauteur plafond assez haut) et le radiateur fixe sous la fenêtre ne fonctionnait pas. J'ai du aller trouver le responsable du restaurant qui m'a dit qu'il ne gère pas les chambres car on arrivait pas à avoir de l'eau chaude pour la baignoire pour finir après 30min et avoir du allumer l'eau chaude de l'évier pour après avoir l'eau qui sort chaude de la baignoire (sûrement pas assez de pression pour que ça monte) Ensuite pendant se temps là nous décidons de regarder la télévision et de boire un thé car nous avions un plateau avec du thé mais là aussi déception car il y avait du thé mais absence de bouilloire comme c'était indiqué dans l'annonce.. et la télévision ne fonctionne pas.. En plus de cela il faut rajouter l'humidité et la condensation sur les fenêtres et la moisissure sur les murs. J'ai essayé de rentrer en contact avec l'établissement mais pas de réponse. Pour 100 euros la nuit je trouve cela chère hors que j'aurais pu avoir une autre chambre dans un autre hôtel pour moins chère. La phrase qui revient toujours c'est que c'est une réservation booking hors que je réserve via Booking ou directement à l'hôtel les problèmes auraient été les mêmes.. booking est juste une plateforme qui met en ligne les établissements pour leurs donner plus de visibilité et plus de réservation.

het bed was goed

de service mail gekregen over incheck maar komt binnen op computer thuis dus gevraagd of het naar ander email gestuurd kon worden reactie kan tussen 16.00 en 18.00 uur in het restaurant card op halen maar alleen op maandag restaurant gesloten geen card dan telefoon nummer van hotel bellen niemand neemt op op mail wordt ook niet gereageerd met goed geluk thuis proberen te bereiken die hebben computer geopend voor de code toen kon ik naar binnen de collega waar ik mee samen werkte had ook code maar zat geen sleutel in naar huis rijden was geen optie die heeft in zijn bus geslapen

Kon de eerste nacht de kamer niet in omdat er geen sleutel in het sleutel kluisje aanwezig was en er niemand te bereiken was om het op te lossen en tot op heden wordt er niet gereageerd dit vind ik bijzonder kwalijk en moest voor die nacht dus een andere slaap plaats zoeken

La chambre était très bien, mais nous n'y avons pas passé la nuit à cause d'autres problèmes. Nous avons préféré fuir.

Nous sommes arrivés à 16h comme annoncé. N'ayant pas reçu les informations concerant l'accès à l'hotel et la chambre, et l'hotel ne disposant pas de réception, nous sommes restés dans le froid tandis que nous tentions en vain de joindre les responsables aux numéros indiqués. Finalement nous avons été transférés au call center de Booking. Une demi-heure plus tard nous avons reçu les informations par email et avons pu accéder à la chambre. Nous pensions avoir des options pour le diner, pusique l'hotel met en avant son restaurant et son pub (nous avons reçu plusieurs invitations à réserver une table!). Malheureusement tout était fermé. Pas de réception, pas de personnel, pas de restaurant, pas de pub, pas de lumières dans ce bâtiment vide, et ayant fait l'expérience de la difficulté de joindre les responasbles en cas de problème, nous avons choisi de fuir sans y passer la nuit!

Chambre super belle mais le reste non.

La chambre + la salle de bain etait magnifique rien a dire.

Il n'y avait pas de chauffage dans la chambre, il fesais super froid et on navais recu qu'une petit chauffage a prise mais c'etait pas suffisant. Ya pas de reception tu dois prendre la cle de la chambre dans un petit box dehors... Pas tres conviviale.

Mooi hotel, maar de verwarming kan niet lager, waardoor het erg warm is op de kamer. De enige optie is de ramen openzetten. Dat wil je niet in 2025.

Je n'y retournerai pas !

Le principe de l'hôtel numérique ne me convient pas ! De plus, je n'ai jamais eu le mail promis avec le code pour récupérer la carte/clé de la chambre (alors que j'ai eu celui pour réserver le restaurant... d'ailleurs bon ). J'ai donc dû trouver quelqu'un à qui m'adresser... Certes, il est annoncé qu'il n'y a pas de petit-déjeuner, mais une machine à café ou au moins une bouilloire dans la chambre serait le minimum ! De plus, le bar est au-delà du bruyant ! Pour un mardi soir, j'ai eu droit à un "karaoké hurlé" jusqu'à 3h du matin !

Prima hotel, wel aandacht nodig voor de digitale sleutel overdacht en communicatie daar over.

Wij hebben helemaal geen last van de trein of harde muziek gehad. Zoals in sommige recensies wordt aangegeven. Daardoor gewoon een prima hotel met juist als pluspunt dat er een gezellige bar naast ligt.

De codes voor de sleutels had ik om 3 uur nog niet. Ik had gevraagd of we dan al konden inchecken maar daar geen reactie op gehad. Gelukkig kwamen we om half 4 iemand tegen die in het restaurant werkte en die hielp ons vlot. Rond diezelfde tijd ontving ik, na een email te hebben gestuurd, alsnog de codes via de mail. Dus opgelost. Wel de tip om telefonisch bereikbaar te zijn als hotel, nu kreeg ik de voicemail van het restaurant.

Lekker uitgerust

Nette, rustige kamer. Hele mooie, leuke omgeving. Fantastisch goed (maar duur) restaurant in hetzelfde gebouw. Ruim voldoende parkeerplaats nabij. Uitgaansgelegenheid. Uitchecktijd 11.00u, dus lekker uitslapen.

Er was werkelijk niemand van het hotel aanwezig. Mensen van het restaurant zijn niet geassocieerd met het hotel. Water van de douche liep niet goed weg en de hele badkamer stond gauw onder water. Was open douche dus na een tijd was t wel weg. De kamer was niet goed geventileerd. Had fijn geweest als er een kantelraam was om overdag te verluchten maar kon alleen volledig open.

Clairement, l’équipe de ménage doit être en grève depuis plusieurs semaines, voire plusieurs mois. Juste à côté d’une boîte de nuit. Une bouilloire pour faire un café mais pas de café. Souci avec les codes pour débrouiller les boîtes à clefs.

Hotel lag ideaal voor onze fietstochten door het Zoniënwoud.

De locatie met een goed bed en goede hygiëne. De locatie goed gelegen bij het Zoniënwoud, ideaal ;)

Verblijf was 3 nachten, waarvan er 2 met oorverdovend lawaai van muziek tot 2 u. s 'nachts. Wij waren 1 dag ervoor gewaarschuwd voor slechts 1 nacht!!

De code die wij gekregen hadden voor sleutelkastje klopte niet waardoor we de nacht hebben moeten doorbrengen in de auto. Meermaals gebeld naar noodnummer van het hotel en geen reactie!!!! Sorry maar dit kan echt niet!!! Ik wil mijn geld terug!!! Echt geen aanrader, enorm teleurgesteld, boos en zeker omdat niemand bereikbaar was.

- le caractère mensonger de l'annonce booking. L'endroit est, en tout cas le week-end, le repère des "Brabançons qui veulent faire la fête" avant de partir en boîte. Donc bruit de boite de nuit jusque 3 ou 4 heures du Mahin - pas de prise en compte de la demande de réparer le store de la salle de bain, donc impossibilité de discrétion, la salle de bain donne sur les tables du resto. - pas de papier WC

Nous avons passé un très beau séjour. Hôtel sans réception mais nous avions bien reçu toutes les informations pour accéder à notre chambre. Nous avons très bien mangé au restaurant de l’hôtel. Chambre confortable. Rien à redire
