Maistra Select Amarin Resort

The beach was nice. After a short complain at the reception, we were able to move to a better room, even received an upgrade. Restaurant next to the pool serves nice pizzas.

Old, smelly standard apartment/room. Food and meals are very basic and do not have a high quality. Crowds of drunken tourists at the resort.

We got an upgrade for our apartment:) Check-in/out and getting help at the reception was very uncomplicated and quick. The apartment was amazing. The food at the restaurant in general was very good. The view and outdoor seating were great as well.

Some days (not all!) there was not so much variety/options for vegetarians at the restaurant (especially Saturday/Sunday if I remember correctly). Also finding a table at the restaurant was sometimes challenging and it felt a bit crowded/chaotic at times.

The resort is huge (you can have a bit of a walk of around 10 minutes to the beach or restaurant inside depending of the location where you stay). But is is not that far when you learn to move around. The resort has stores inside so you can even manage to live here without getting out. The food provided is varied and fine, there are also various restaurants around or in Rovinj. Breakfast is 17€ / person daily and dinner is 27€ (dinner is served as a bufet). But you can get them included in the price paid. There is also a pizza & pasta location and one with burgers etc, so there is some variety. There is a taxiboat to Rovinj for 5€ / way and person, which is very usefull. You have a great beach at the resort, with either pebles and sunbeds/umbrelas or just sunbeds around the forest part next to the water but with rocks. It is still accesible. I understood that premium stays get the sunbeds included in the price, we bad no problems the prices were around 15 € / sunbed and 10€ / umbrela. We never had problems finding sunbeds, but the resort wasn’t fully booked so we don’t know about that situation. There are beachbars and two pools. A cocktail is around 8-12€ depending on type. There is plenty of parking inside. The resort if fairly green and feels like a park, very nice, but this comes at a little price worth knowing: you can get some bugs inside your room. There is also a very nice promenade next to the sea. It is nice during the day and very intimate by night. The staff is very kind and helpful. The room was decently equiped, the beds really confortable. We had no complaints with the amenities here. All in all, we had a great vacation and we would definetly consider coming back.

Given that the resort is so big it cand get hard to mantain so you can find some slighly worn pieces of furniture, some apliances or room amenities that have small imperfections. Also, there can be found spaces which could have been cleaned better. Keep in mind that these are aspects that didn’t make our vacation here worse, you just need to be informed to bot have unrealistic expectations.

Location af the apartment was ok. I. The first row with partial view to the sea. I like the cleaness of the Amarin Resort. The nearby beach with a direct view or the city of Rovinj.

The apartment oudated. Need renivation. Beds were totally uncomfortable. But the major issue for a 4- star resort/ campsie: no wifi available in the oremises. In the 21st and digitalisation this is not acceptable.

The facilities were great, location absolutely fantastic & accommodation super comfortable.

Too many dwellings , overpriced and the shop was poorly stocked and was so overpriced.

We got a free upgrade - a premium apartman, 50m from the beach. It was super nice. The restaurant is located in the middle of the resort and has an awesome view. The food was good.

Dinner was great. Friendly staff everywhere.

Plenty. Location of the apartments is bed. Far from water, not a pleasant walk in the heat. The overall state of them is absolutely abysmall. Aircon didnt do the job, it just blew warm wet air. Not suitable for babies. All of us (+2yo) got sick due to moist air. Breakfast was the same every day, not bad but tasteless, especially warm dishes. Beach is not as advertised. Those tiny rocks go EVERYWHERE, it is almost impossible to walk there. But the baddest think is not outside, it is in the water itself. It is almost impossible to swim there because of the underwater ridges. Overall a dissapointing experience. The front desk was kind enough to give us an additional discount. Will not return in any case.
